"

Livier Productions, Inc. today announced that it has begun
production on the second season of its hit web series, Ylse, which premiered in 2008. Series
Creator/Writer/Executive Producer Ruth Livier (Resurrection Blvd., Drag Me to Hell, Los
Campeones de la Lucha Libre), heads Livier Productions, and stars in this groundbreaking, not-so-
politically-correct comedy that bridges reality and fantasy in the style of Ally McBeal and The Larry
 Sanders Show.

Ylse follows the title character as she attempts to climb up the journalistic ladder, all the
while navigating around the unique circumstances of someone who is living a dual existence: being
an American woman of Mexican descent, and working in the male-dominated, entertainment news
industry. “The response to season one has been everything I dreamed it could be. People really
related to my characters and that just motivated me to write on, “ said Livier. “Growing up between
two cultures, and speaking two languages, you end up having a foot in two worlds but not
completely belonging to either one. There’s this weird middle ground, full of identity crisis and
struggles. Ylse is the story of being an American, but from a decidedly different point of view.”

Series Director/Executive Producer Joe Camareno (Pasiones Obsesionantes, Virgin Falls,
Revenge of the Bimbot Zombie Killers) said, "Ylse is about action, not complacency. It’s about
discovering the power of your own voice, and realizing that in using it, there are repercussions,
both positive and negative. I think this is a basic theme that people really responded to in season
one, and we’re excited to explore it further in season two."

“This season, we’re exploring the characters’ relationships in greater depth. We are also
producing more episodes, with some really great twists and turns, “ said Stephanie Wiand,
Writer/Executive Producer (Pasiones Obsesionantes, Virgin Falls, Revenge of the Bimbot Zombie
Killers). “Although Ylse is a bilingual/bicultural comedy, it’s such an entertaining, universal story of
trying to create your own American dream, that I think our audience will expand even further this
 season.”

In addition to a returning, all-star cast from season one, Marlene Forte (Little Girl Lost: The
Delimar Vera Story, Star Trek 2009, ER), Alejandro de Hoyos (GB: 2525, Until Next Time, The
Bold and the Beautiful), season two of Ylse will also add to its dynamic production roster, Judy
Reyes (Scrubs, Castle, Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story), Richard Yniguez (The Shield, CSI:
Miami, Law & Order), Alma Delfina (Te Amare en Silencio, CSI: Miami, Resurrection Blvd.), Writer,
Herbert Siguenza (Culture Clash), and Actress/Guest Director, Elizabeth Pena (Jacob’s Ladder,
Resurrection Blvd., Home For The Holidays).

Special interview segments will be produced and hosted by Emmy award-winning host,
Marabina Jaimes. Ylse, season two will premiere in Summer 2009.

"Latin Heat Online, a division of Latin Heat Entertainment, today announced that it has entered into a multi-faceted strategic alliance with Livier Productions which includes added web distribution for their new web series Ylse and the cross-promotion of both company brands via the latinheat.com website and the web series. Latin Heat.com has seen its online hits jump by over half a million in just two months, with the addition of video. Ylse, the first web series on the Latin Heat website, will be an added asset.

Actress/producer Ruth Livier (Resurrection Blvd., Drag Me to Hell, Los Campeones de la Lucha Libre) heads Livier Productions and stars in the recently premiered new groundbreaking web series Ylse, which follows the title character up the journalistic ladder in this not so politically correct comedy. Ylse struggles with her professional life, while navigating the unique circumstances of those living a dual existence: being an American woman of Mexican descent and working in the male-dominated entertainment news industry.

"I am proud to see Ruth creating her own opportunities," said Bel Hernandez, Publisher and CEO of Latin Heat Entertainment. "This web series stands out for the strong and positive portrayal of Latinas of all ages. Latin Heat is honored to be able to partner with Livier Productions to introduce our viewers to a series where not only is the lead character a Latina but someone who stands up for what she believes."

"I will continue to create projects that more accurately reflect our experiences and give us a voice," said Livier. "And thanks to Bel Hernandez and Latin Heat Online for giving us the opportunity to reach a broader audience! I am thrilled to be partnering with Bel. She has been an unwavering force in our industry for years and her support is a key factor to the continued success of Ylse!"

Ylse, which has seen incredible success on the web via Ylse.net, YouTube & MySpace and with subscriptions available via iTunes, will in turn weave Latin Heat Entertainment's magazine into the storyline in upcoming episodes. Season one of the series is currently just past the halfway mark: Webisode 4 of 6. All four episodes can currently be seen on Latinheat.com.

Series director Joe Camareno says, "Ylse is about action not complacency. It's about finding the power in your own voice and of course realizing that, in acting on it, there are repercussions, positive or negative. It's about discovering that we can make a difference regardless of how insignificant we may think that contribution might be."

In addition to featuring the first web series ever on the Latin Heat website, Latin Heat Online will also include web teasers of each new episode of the series, as well as featured interviews with the show's execs and behind the scenes webisodes conducted by Emmy award winning host Marabina Jaimes.

This strategic alliance came about because both women recognize the need to support Latino-themed programming. Hernandez, as a female Latina entrepreneur herself, saw the opportunity after attending the Ylse World Premiere Party back in August.

Ylse, which bridges reality and fantasy in the style of Ally McBeal and Larry Sanders, is written by the show's star Ruth Livier, directed by Joe Camareno (Pasiones Obsesionantes, Virgin Falls, Revenge of the Bimbot Zombie Killers) and executive produced by Livier and Camareno. Season Two of Ylse will also add to its dynamic production roster, the talented Herbert Siguenza of Culture Clash, as writer and new cast member of the show which already features an all-star cast including Marlene Forte (Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story, Star Trek 2009, ER), Alejandro de Hoyos (GB: 2525, Until Next Time, The Bold and the Beautiful) and series creator/writer Livier.

About Latin Heat Entertainment
Latin Heat Entertainment, a multi-media company, is the umbrella company for Latinheat.com and Latin Heat Magazine, both forums which are dedicated to coverage of the business of Latinos in all facets of entertainment. Latin Heat was founded in 1992 as an entertainment trade publication and has been documenting the growth of Latinos in this industry consistently since then. Bel Hernandez is founder of Latin Heat Entertainment and has served as its publisher since its inception. She also served as this year's Chairperson for the George Foster Peabody Awards, the first Latina to ever hold this position on this very prestigious board.

About Livier Productions
Ruth Livier founded her production company with the goal of creating Latina driven projects. "I've seen this gap in the market since I was a kid and I'm passionate about grabbing the opportunity to do my part in filling it". Livier Productions previously produced BECA, a bilingual game-show, invited to tour with Edward James Olmos' LBFF. Among BECA's celebrity guests were Tony Plana (Ugly Betty), Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall), Florinda Meza (Chespirito) and Nicholas Gonzalez (The OC, Mental). And In Her Shoes, a 'The View" style pilot featuring diverse Latinas. Her powerful cast included: Yasmin Davidds (author/Latina empowerment specialist) and Sibila Vargas (entertainment correspondent/anchor for CNN).
