Eva Mendes, Ana de la Reguera, Salma Hayek and Julieta Venegas: Women all over the world covet the head-to-toe glamour they exude when theyre all done up for a red-carpet appearance. Now, Siempre Mujer editors want to give one woman the chance to feel like a celebrity for a day in the Se la estrella contest, open now until September 10, 2010.

The winner will be transformed into her beautiful best with a starlet-inspired style created by Siempre Mujer fashion and beauty editors with the help of COVERGIRL and Pantene. She and a guest will also be whisked away to a red-carpet event with a lineup featuring a host of leading Latino stars. Like her personal paparazzi, a photographer and videographer will be on hand to capture the experience and give readers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look.

To enter, women must submit a photo and a 100-word statement about why they deserve the opportunity and which Latina stars style inspires them at www.siempremujer.com/estrella. Siempre Mujer editors will select finalists and the grand prize winner.

"We know that every woman wants to look and feel beautiful every day, whether shes getting ready for a big event or just for a day at work or running around town," says Ursula Carranza, fashion and beauty editor of Siempre Mujer. "With Se la estrella we want to show all our readers that anyone can achieve her personal best with the right tools, and were happy to treat one deserving woman to such a unique experience."

Model, actress and author of the new book "Unforgettable You," Daisy Fuentes, appears on the August/September cover of Siempre Mujer magazine. Fuentes posed for a Manhattan shoot with photographer Omar Cruz and sat down with Editor-in-Chief Maria Cristina Marrero for a revealing interview about how she has evolved over the past 20 years in the spotlight, what she looks for in a man and what she wants most from life. A behind-the-scenes Siempre Mujer TV segment featuring Fuentes at her photo shoot will run on SiempreMujer.com this month.

Excerpts from her cover story follow:
About the types of people she avoids at all costs: "I dont want to be surrounded by energy suckers, gossips, people who I call emotional vampires, who spend their time talking about others without looking at themselves...I think its people with small minds that talk about others, and those with big minds that speak about important issues and whats happening in the world."

About how technology has made women less graceful: "Twitter and Facebook dont help. Many women reveal too much information. The woman is acting like the man. Its much more aggressive and men catch on quickly. If they get used to that behavior, then men will think theres no need to woo or seduce women."

Her secrets to being won over by a man: "Its simple: let it happen. Remember that men and women are similar, but not the same. Women have to act like women and let men be men. We are soft and delicate by nature and thats what men look for in us."

About what shes looking for in a man: "I want to sit back and be impressed. Allow me to fall in love. I want the man to be a man and it to be clear that Im the woman...I dont want to make the first move. I have too many decisions to make in my life and the last thing I want to have to do is take control of my relationship."

About her old-school dreams: "There used to be nothing as important as keeping my afro in place and driving a Camaro. I was a regular girl who never thought being on television was even an option."

About how shes evolved: "Im very unique. Im successful. Now, its not about the money or the Camaro - its about being sincere, open to love and capable of compassion."

About living in the now: "I dont know if Im more beautiful now, but Im definitely happier. Because theres nothing like being young and there are elements of that that I miss...But Ive tried to understand whats really important for me. Because that changes as we age. For example, now Im only interested in living in the present. The past is in the past and the future hasnt arrived yet. So, I focus on the here and now."

About what else she wants in life: "To be unforgettable! Who doesnt want that?"

The August/September issue of Siempre Mujer is on newsstands now and also includes stories on how to make a great first impression, starting a fitness routine, fall fashion trends and all you need to know about plastic surgery. For more, please visit siempremujer.com.

Zoe Saldana, Siempre Mujer's April/May cover star dishes to the magazine about her roots, her over-developed masculine side and how she defines happiness. Excerpts from the interview, on newsstands April 6, follow and are available at www.siempremujer.com:

About her roots: "I'm just Zoe.

On her masculine side: "Tengo demasiado!

But what about her feminine side?: "Si me quieres castigar, mándame a hacer una manicure y una pedicura, o ponerme una faldita y unos shorts, y yo me muero.

... Tenga yo dinero o no, voy a estar contenta.

On her definition of happiness: "Me gusta trabajar.

The April/May issue of Siempre Mujer also includes a feature story on the Top 5 Latinos in Music with an exclusive interview with Chayanne, who expresses his humility when he says: "I consider myself a normal person. I haven't accomplished anything on my own. I find nourishment in working in groups and the results are always more beautiful that way." A video interview with Chayanne will go live on SiempreMujer.com on April 9th. Other music superstars featured are Paulina Rubio, Luis Fonsi, Aventura and Jenni Rivera.
