WAMA is owned by ZGS Communications, a Hispanic-owned media company with interest in radio, television and web.

"This is a great step forward in our effort to make ESPN Deportes Radio available to Hispanics in leading U.S. Hispanic markets," said Oscar Ramos, senior director and general manager, ESPN Deportes Radio. "ESPN Deportes Radio offers an incredible sports programming mix. We are sure that the radio network will be well-received by the Hispanic sports fans in Tampa."
