Alexis Valdes to appear tonight on ‘Bayly’

Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) (NASDAQ: SBSA) announced today that Alexis Valdes, the famous Cuban comedian and actor, will appear on the next episode of “Bayly,” the Latin American version of Larry King Live. Hosted by renowned journalist and writer, Jaime Bayly, whose style and personality resemble that of Larry King, the episode will air tonight at 10:00 PM EST on MEGA TV Channel 22 and at 11:00 PM PST on DirecTV Channel 405.
Valdes is known in Cuba for his characters “Bandurria” and “Cristinito” and is a true representative of Latin comedy.
After working in Cuba for over 10 years and being one of the most popular and admired artistic figures in the country, Valdes moved to Spain and then moved to. In 2004, he wrote and directed the movie “Un Rey en La Habana”, which was nominated at the 2005 “Festival de Cine Español de Málaga” (Málaga Spanish Film Festival). MEGA TV Celebrates National Launch

Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) (NASDAQ: SBSA) announced today that the party held to celebrate the national launch of MEGA TV was a huge success. Through a partnership with DirecTV Más, MEGA TV is being broadcasted nationally over Channel 405. Held on November 1 at the exclusive Chakra Club in Miami Beach, the party treated guests to brilliant Latin entertainment. The official national launch of DirecTV was on October 17.
Celebrities and leading personalities such as Julio Sabala, Tito Puente Jr., Lena Burke, Daniel René, Raymond Castellón, Alejandra Alberti, Andrés Cuervo, Ley Alejandro, Carlos Oliva, Lefty Pérez, Yolandita Monge and Topy Mamery, all walked down the red carpet and attended the event. Representing MEGA TV and SBS was Jaime Bayly, María Elvira Salazar, Frank Cairo, Allan Villafaña, Ana Remos, Camilo Egaña, Lourdes Ruiz Toledo, Alan Jacott, Daysi Ballmajó, Miguelito Gonzalez, Raul urbina, Ileana Garcia, Jessica Fox, and Jairo Martinez, among others. The Master of Ceremonies for the event was the beautiful and talented Mariela Encarnación.
Albita Rodriguez and Jerry Rivera, two of the hottest performers in the tropical music genre, gave such a breathtaking performance of “La Mega Se Pega”, the official theme song for MEGA TV’s national broadcasting campaign, that the crowd gave them a standing ovation. Jerry Rivera also performed his hit song “Cuesta Abajo,” while dancers performed the famous Argentine tango with a tropical twist both on stage and in the audience.
The highlight of the night was when José “Pepe” Díaz, a member of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, read a letter from Mayor Carlos Alvarez, declaring November 1 as “MEGA TV Day” in Miami-Dade County. Shortly after that, Miami Beach’s Vice Mayor, Michael Gongora, read a letter from Mayor David Derner that named November 1 “MEGA TV Day” for Miami Beach.

JumpTV to Broadcast Frecuencia Latina Live Over the Internet
