		<description><![CDATA[<blockquote>"MillerCoors announced today that Lupe Barrera, from the National Latino Peace Officers Association (NLPOA), headquartered in Los Angeles, has received the 2008 Lider of the Year Award.<br />
According to Joedis Avila, Multicultural Relations manager for MillerCoors, the Lider of the Year Award is part of the company's Lideres program and "is intended to raise awareness about the important work and contributions Hispanic leaders are making in their communities." The Lideres Program, launched in 2006, celebrates and supports leadership within the Hispanic community.<br />
Avila said that Barrera's work will be spotlighted through a print ad featured in several national and local Hispanic publications and NLPOA will receive a $25,000 grant to support a leadership program in partnership with MillerCoors. "Lupe's dedication inspires those around her, and she proves that one person can make a huge difference," said Avila.<br />
"I am deeply honored to be receiving the 2008 Lider of the Year Award from MillerCoors," said Barrera. "The fact that MillerCoors chose to spotlight the important work we do at the National Latino Peace Officers Association is inspiring and really validates our mission. The grant will help to support and expand our reach in the Hispanic community," she said.<br />
Founded in 1972, the NLPOA seeks to eliminate prejudice and discrimination in the criminal justice system, reduce community juvenile delinquency and lessen citizen tension in predominantly Latino communities. Lupe's dedication to community service is in line with NLPOA's core values: honoring family, promoting education, leadership and serving the community.<br />
For the past two years, the Lideres program has showcased national and local leaders in the Hispanic community through an advertising campaign portraying the diverse demographics represented in the U.S. Hispanic community -- celebrating its leadership, biculturalism and bilingualism.<br />
In 2008, the MillerCoors Lideres ads featured 14 Hispanic leaders selected with the input of Hispanic national and local non-profit partners and organizations. The public also was invited to participate in selecting the Lider of the Year by casting their vote online through the MillerCoors Lideres website, www.CoorsLideres.com. More than 11,000 individuals cast their vote online during the voting period from November 1 through November 12.<br />
In 2007, Lillian Rodriguez Lopez, president of the Hispanic Federation, was the recipient of the Coors Hispanic Lider of the Year award. In 2006, Rosa Navejar, president of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, received the honor."</blockquote>

Additionally, Bromley's role as Hispanic creative agency for Coors Light remains unchanged. Joanne Davis Consulting and Media IQ assisted in the review.<br />

The USHCC is encouraging participation in the MUES program by communicating this once in a lifetime opportunity to their constituency," Ruano said.<br />
Ruano noted that the MUES program has helped contribute to the advancement of aspiring young professionals by placing them on the path to success. "The importance of empowering the young business minds of our communities and enabling them to reach their goals is a task that requires a collective effort from support systems within our communities, and providing this support system is a common goal of MillerCoors and the USHCC," he added.<br />
"For nearly 30 years, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has been committed to helping Hispanic-owned businesses realize and achieve their full potential," said Augustine Martinez, President &#038; CEO of the USHCC. He noted the USHCC is promoting the MUES program by reaching out to its vast network of Hispanic business owners, highlighting the program's benefits and driving participation. "The USHCC was created to ensure that the concerns and needs of the Hispanic business community were heard and met. As the program continues to evolve and reach the next generation of urban entrepreneurs, MUES also recently re-launched its interactive Web site, http://www.millercoorsmues.com, in Web 2.0. The site offers valuable information regarding the business plan competition and is additionally a substantial resource and tool for aspiring entrepreneurs. Through the site, future business moguls can interactively seek guidance from business professionals, gain valuable insight from previous winners through their blogs on MUES Talk, and get an exclusive, behind the scenes look at the competition through MUES TV. The Web site also includes the MUES business grant competition application and guidelines.<br />
Over the course of the MUES program, approximately 1,400 business plans have been submitted and Miller has awarded a nearly $1 million benefiting more than 100 urban entrepreneurs throughout the nation. It is estimated that 50 percent of these businesses are currently operational, benefiting urban America by providing jobs and sustaining economic growth and development in sometimes blighted communities.<br />
To support the program, MillerCoors, is continuing its relationships with community partners, including the Atlanta Business League, the Chicago Urban League, the Detroit Urban League, the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Dallas, the Urban League of Greater Dallas and North Central Texas, Recycling Black Dollars of Los Angeles, the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Urban League.<br />
Call for Entries<br />
An integral component of MUES is the Business Plan Competition, which concludes with grants awarded to young professionals to invest as start-up capital for their new or existing businesses. This year's top winner will be awarded a $50,000 grant, and four others will receive grants of $25,000 each. The competition is open to participants between the ages of 21 and 35, and the deadline for entries is Monday, December 1, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. (CST).<br />

<p>La participaci&#243;n en el concurso es f&#225;cil &#8211; consumidores de cerveza adultos, de 21 a&#241;os o m&#225;s, deben enviar su video, foto o blog original que describe como se mantienen en fr&#237;o.  Los participantes pueden inscribirse y enviar sus videos, fotos y blogs a la p&#225;gina web <a HREF="http://www.piensaenfrio.com/concurso">http://www.piensaenfrio.com/concurso</a>.  Ya inscritos en la web, otros consumidores y participantes, mayores de 21 a&#241;os, podr&#225;n votar por tu video, foto, y/o blog.   Se pueden compartir las historias por email, sitios sociales de la red, blogs, etc.  Los ganadores se determinaran por una combinaci&#243;n de votos y un panel de jueces de Coors Light que evaluar&#225;n las historias y materiales enviados basados en su creatividad y originalidad (40%), cercan&#237;a al tema de &#8220;Piensa en Fr&#237;o&#8221; (50%) y representaci&#243;n de Coors Light (10%).  Los ganadores recibir&#225;n premios como:</p>
