Just a few days after receiving this great news, Bankers Healthcare Group (BHG) (https://www.bhg-inc.com/ ) is pleased to announce it has made the HispanicBusiness list of the 500 Largest US Hispanic-Owned Companies, landing a top 5 ranking in the Finance Sector.

(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20100301/NY62435LOGO)

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20100301/NY62435LOGO)

As HispanicBusiness reported, out of the nine sectors included on the list, seven experienced sharp declines in revenue. The only exceptions were finance, which rose 7.7 percent, and service, at a plus 5.9 percent. This trend echoes a similar pattern on the Fortune 500, where finance registered the best performance.

BHG's growth is due to the cornerstone of its business: customer service. Eric Castro, Chief Operations Officer of BHG, affirmed, "At every possible touchpoint with our clients, we strive to solve their problems. And we listen. When you call, you're going to speak to a person committed 100% to surpassing your expectations."

The companies reporting from the HispanicBusiness 500 Directory cited lack of capital as the third highest barrier to growth. The capital drought is not limited to the automotive, manufacturing, or wholesale sectors-it has spread to all of them.

Bob Castro, President of BHG, stated, "Every business, large and small, is feeling the [capital] pinch. At BHG (https://www.bhg-inc.com/ ), we're committed to providing more and more opportunities to healthcare professionals so they can access the capital they need to grow. The market is tight, but outstanding opportunities are available."

BHG provides financing solutions to one of the nation's most important markets: healthcare professionals. Over a thousand healthcare professionals a month trust BHG for their financing. Offering up to $150,000 working capital with no hard collateral required and funding within seven business days, BHG fills a crucial need in the marketplace. With BHG's various programs, its clients can achieve operational cash flow, hire staff, consolidate debt, create new service offerings, renovate offices, upgrade equipment, and otherwise grow their practices.

"Liberty Power, one of the fastest-growing retail electric providers in the United States, today announced that it now ranks 21st overall on the 2009 Hispanic Business 500 list (HB 500). Celebrating its 27th year, the list is compiled annually by Hispanic Business magazine and ranks, by revenue, the 500 largest Hispanic-owned companies in the United States. The rankings were officially released in the June 2009 issue of Hispanic Business.

Liberty Power, which was named the fastest-growing, Hispanic-owned business in 2007 by Hispanic Business, continues to make solid financial strides, helping it to gain 11 spots from last year's overall ranking of 32. Liberty Power revenues increased by more than 55% from the previous reporting year, a substantial increase compared to the overall revenues for this year's HB 500, which grew by only 0.1% to $36.15 billion. Liberty Power has grown consistently every year it has been in operation, with year-over-year revenue growth averaging over 250% for the past six completed fiscal years.

Additionally, Liberty Power now ranks as the third largest Hispanic-owned company in the energy sector. This year marks the first year where the Energy Industry was highlighted as a sector on the HB500, joining the previous eight categories: Automotive, Finance, Manufacturing, Retail, Service, Transportation, Construction, and Wholesale. The Energy sector was the only one of the directory's nine categories in which each of the top 10 companies posted a gain in 2008. Prior to the establishment of an Energy sector category, Liberty Power was ranked as the third largest Hispanic-owned retailer across the United States.

"Liberty Power is honored to be recognized as the 21st largest Hispanic-owned company among all industries and the 3rd largest Hispanic-owned energy company on this distinguished list. Liberty Power will continue to make significant and steady progress towards our stated goal of becoming a top 10 energy retailer by providing our customers low-cost electricity and outstanding customer service," said David Hernandez, CEO of Liberty Power.

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Liberty Power is one of only four national retail electric providers licensed in 16 or more states and is the only minority-owned, retail electric provider with a national presence. Currently serving tens of thousands of customers in New York, Texas, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois, Delaware, Rhode Island, and the District of Columbia., Liberty Power provides businesses, government entities, and residential customers with low-cost, reliable electricity and outstanding customer service. National customers include JCPenney, Bausch & Lomb, and New York Life, among others.

"Eleven Fairfax County-based companies, including nine in technical fields, are among the 500 largest Hispanic-owned businesses in the nation based on revenue, according to Hispanic Business magazine.
The Fairfax County companies generated more than $510 million in revenue and employed 5,130 workers, according to the magazine.

“Fairfax County is proud to be the home of so many successful Hispanic-owned companies,” said Gerald L.
