AeroMexico to Expand North American Operations With New Service to Toronto, San Francisco and Denver in Early 2009

Toronto Will Become Airline’s First Canadian Market

AeroMexico will launch daily, non-stop flights between Toronto and MexicoCity on February 2. Flights will depart from Toronto Pearson InternationalAirport at 9:00 a.m. EST and arrive at Mexico City International Airport at1:00 p.m. CST. Departures from Mexico City are scheduled at 5:35 p.m. CSTwith arrivals in Toronto at 11:05 p.m. EST.

San Francisco/Bay Area Will Become Airline’s Fourth California Market

Galan said, “California has become AeroMexico’s largest overall market inthe United States. Our upcoming San Francisco service reflects ourcommitment to being a leader in meeting the state’s international travelneeds to Mexico and beyond.”

Denver Service Will Add Fifth State to AeroMexico’s Western Region

Mexican Government Agency Accepts Saba Offer For Aeromexico

“Mexico’s deposit insurance agency IPAB, which owns a stake in airline Consorcio Aeromexico SAB (AMEXICO.MX), said Tuesday that it has accepted a sweetened takeover bid for the company submitted by the local Saba family.

In a press release, IPAB said it would consider higher offers until midday Tuesday.

Federal development bank Nacional Financiera and the Finance Ministry, which also own stakes in Aeromexico, are also prepared to accept the Saba bid, the agency said.”*

The flights, which began October 4, are operated by Aeromexico Connect. Mexicana Airline Makes Bid For Rival Carrier Aeromexico

“Mexican airline Grupo Mexicana raised the stakes Wednesday in the battle to acquire rival carrier Consorcio Aeromexico sab ( AMEXICO.MX), offering 2.19 pesos ($0.20) a share.

“Grupo Mexicana’s offer is 25% above the highest offer presented to the stock exchange by other investment groups,” Mexicana said in a statement.

The offer is equivalent to MXN2.17 billion or about $200 million for all of Aeromexico.”

“Two Mexican airlines wanting to reach a growing immigrant population in Arkansas and neighboring states may soon add direct flights to Little Rock.

Aeromexico and Mexicana, two of Mexico’s largest airlines, are in discussions to fly in and out of Little Rock National Airport, said airport spokesman Philip Launius. The hope, Launius said, is that the airport would be the central hub for travel to Mexico from Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri and Tennessee.”

“Aeromexico, Mexico’s largest airline, today announced it has added additional flights from Los Angeles to both Aguascalientes and Leon/Bajio, expanding each to six times weekly with plans for daily service in both markets beginning in May.

The service between Los Angeles and Aguascalientes operates daily except Mondays and will become daily May 15. Flights between Los Angeles and Leon/Bajio now operate every day except Saturday and that service becomes daily May 19. Before this expansion, Aeromexico offered three flights weekly to Aguascalientes and four flights weekly to Leon/Bajio.

Aeromexico Announces Super Plan to Allow Passengers to Expand Their Trip

“Aeromexico, Mexico’s largest airline, today announced its new “Super Plan,” which allows passengers traveling roundtrip to Mexico from the U.S., Europe, Asia and South America to expand their trip to additional destinations in Mexico for as little as $100 roundtrip.

The “Super Plan” promotion, valid until Jan. 15, 2008, is designed to provide Aeromexico’s international passengers the opportunity to explore destinations throughout Mexico via inexpensive side trips.

“This is the perfect opportunity for the business traveler who, for example, finds himself in Mexico for an extended period and wants to take a weekend trip to a great beach or colonial destination for as little as $100 roundtrip,” said Carlos De Uriarte, Aeromexico vice president of sales, USA and Canada. “And, it is a great way for the adventurer to turn their international roundtrip into a series of side trips to any of Aeromexico’s more than 40 great domestic destinations.”

Reservations may be made via Aeromexico’s call center, any ticket office or travel agent. Passengers must have a roundtrip Aeromexico international ticket in order to qualify. Prices for the “Super Plan” tickets are $100 to $300 roundtrip, based on travel dates and whether high or low season apply, which varies based on the passenger’s international trip origin. Taxes and airport fees are additional. The “Super Plan” ticket or tickets can be purchased before or after international segment begins, but must be purchased before the expiration of the international ticket. The tickets are non-refundable but may be changed for a fee of $35. The minimum stay on the “Super Plan” ticket is two days with a maximum stay of 60 days. Other restrictions apply.

The “Super Plan” tickets are commissionable to travel agents at 8 percent.

“Aeromexico, Mexico’s largest airline, launched a four-day fare sale beginning today through Monday, offering two-for-one fares for travel through December 14, 2007 from 14 of its U.S. gateways to destinations in Mexico.

“This is an outstanding sale, providing great travel discounts for families, friends, business associates or any others traveling together to our many destinations in Mexico,” said Carlos De Uriarte, Aeromexico vice president of sales, USA and Canada. “Tickets must be purchased by Monday, although travel is good for most of this year, some blackouts apply.”

The promotion is good for select fares in each market. Passengers must travel together on the full itinerary. The paid ticket must be an adult fare and both tickets are subject to government taxes and surcharges of up to $110. Seats are limited. There is no minimum stay, but maximum stay is 60 days. The promotion is good only on Aeromexico flights and not on codeshare partner airlines. Flight changes and refunds are subject to a $100 fee.
