Playboy will return to its Chicago roots when it joins top nightlife promoters Global Adrenaline for a New Year's Eve celebration at the historic Hilton Chicago. The event will be in celebration of Playboy's January/ February 2010 double issue and will be co-hosted by 10 Playboy Playmates including Miss January 2010 Jamie Edmondson and Miss February 2010 Heather Young.

Playboy's official New Year's Eve event will take place along the historic Michigan Avenue, where, fittingly, Playboy opened its first club 50 years ago less than a mile from the hotel in 1960. The event will feature Las Vegas-style gambling benefitting the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. Over 5,000 square feet will be devoted to blackjack, craps, poker, and roulette.

International hip hop and reggaeton star Pitbull will headline the event. Also known as Mr. 305, the Miami native has collaborated with a wide array of artists, from Lil Jon, Lil Wayne and Pharrell, to Jennifer Lopez. Count on Pitbull to perform hits such as "Hotel Room Service" and "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)," all of which charted on Billboard's Hot 100 this year.

Chicago natives Jump Smokers and DJs Flipside and Tony Arzadon round out the main-room entertainment, while Rock City and Dante the Don will perform in the 10,000-square-foot Playboy VIP Lounge. Expect the Jump Smokers to play their of-the-moment smash "My Flow So Tight (Anti-Breezy)" and tease songs from their upcoming major-label debut.

The Hilton Chicago has played host to a long list of U.S. presidents and has been featured in a number of Hollywood films, most notably "The Fugitive." Located across the street from Grant Park and featuring 1,544 rooms, the neo-classical hotel will be the perfect place to bring in the New Year.

Tickets for the NYE 2010 event - official website www.NewYears10.com - start at $155 and include four-hour premium open bar, hors d'oeuvres and buffet. Tickets for the Playboy VIP Lounge are $205 and, in addition to everything included in the basic package, also include access to the VIP Lounge, meet-and-greets with 10 Playboy Playmates, super premium bar, and extended casino hours.

Table reservations ranging from $1,000 - $3,000 are also available in the main room and lounge. Room reservations at the hotel for ticket holders start at $159.

As part of the Chicago area participation in Global Entrepreneurship Week, The Latino Breakfast Club (LBC) and Chicago Hope Academy (Hope) present “Bridging the Gap.” On November 18th, 2009 at 3pm, the Senior Class of Hope and members of business communities around Chicago will come together in a celebration of entrepreneurship.

There are three primary gaps these groups will address at this event. The first is between faith and business. Inspiring entrepreneurs will share their personal stories of how their spirituality has impacted their decisions and outlook on business. “We will demonstrate how we encourage our Marketplace Leaders to build Kingdom based companies that put Christ at the center of their work,” says Richard Martinez, founder of the Latino Breakfast Club.

Second, the participants will work towards closing the gap between the theoretical and the practical. Hope recognizes that developing sustainable programs for young entrepreneurs is the way to have a lasting impact on young people. This event will include a brainstorming session in which students, teachers, and businesspeople can generate innovative and pragmatic ideas for launching ongoing entrepreneurial programs. “Partnership with the business community is in the DNA of Chicago Hope Academy, which was founded in 2004 when a group of businessmen purchased and renovated the buildings that now house our school,” says Joel Settecase, Economics Teacher at Hope.

Third, the gap between the business managers of today and the leaders of tomorrow will be bridged through relationships. There will opportunities for young people to be mentored by men and women who can share their wisdom and compassion.

Scheduled speakers include Richard Martinez, Founder of The Latino Breakfast Club; Bob Muzikowski, Founder of Chicago Hope Academy; Ms. Alex Alvarado, Geralex Cleaning; Warner Cruz, JC Restoration Services; Mike Saltijeral, Industrial Fence Inc.; Mark Handy, Kenjiva; Matthew Sapaula, the Host of Money Smart Radio; and Aurora Reinke, President of Flash Forth.

To get involved or RSVP for this event, please contact Aurora Dawn Reinke at 312 320 0076 or email aurora.reinke@flashforth.com.
