Atlanta Day of the Dead will educate, be interactive and will be a day long celebration of Mexican history, culture, music, and food. The event will feature continuous live performances by musical artists, vendor booths offering free product samples, arts and crafts, and authentic Latino foods, a highlight will also be the unique and colorful altars that local artists will create. The event will be produced by Lanza Group, LLC Atlanta's Hispanic marketing, public relations, and events leader. Atlantic Station Vice President, Marketing, Liz Gillespie stated; "We are pleased to be working with the Lanza Group, they have a strong understanding of the Hispanic market and a wonderful track record with Latino focused events that work. We are confident that this event will work well in Atlantic Station and will be of interest to all of our patrons."

"Dia de los muertos" or Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican celebration that brings together family and friends. Lanza Group President Ralph E. Herrera added "Atlanta Day of the Dead was created with the goal of producing something new and exciting that the community at large can enjoy and learn from and that has not been done in the Atlanta market. As the Hispanic market continues to grow in Georgia, we felt the need to reach out and create a cross-cultural community event at one of the premier locations in Atlanta...beautiful Atlantic Station!"

"Castro Cheese Company, manufacturer of "La Vaquita"(R) brand Hispanic cheeses and creams, will be exhibiting at the 2009 Show of the International Dairy, Deli, and Bakery Association (IDDBA), June 7-9, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia.

With more than 30 years in the market, La Vaquita has become an iconic brand for the US Hispanic community. The company's Queso Fresco cheese is their most popular product, and it has a special and regular place at the table of Latino families in the US.

In spite of the current economic crisis, the company has continued to increase its market share. La Vaquita is the second largest Hispanic cheese brand in the US in spite of its limited distribution, and it has played a role in growing the Hispanic cheese category in the US. Total US production of Hispanic cheese increased 183% percent from 1996 to 2008.

According to Elizabeth Castro, VP of Sales and Marketing, "La Vaquita offers our customers the flavors, smells, and memories that take them back to their mothers' kitchens. That's why they prefer our products."

As many stores modify their assortment to cater to the growing Latino population, La Vaquita has been a key partner. The company not only provides high quality products, but it also lends its expertise to help its partners succeed in the Hispanic market.

The brand is available at many popular retailers, including Fiesta Mart, H.E.B., Kroger, Wal-Mart, Buy For Less, and many others.

La Vaquita has also transcended cultural boundaries. Non-Hispanics have turned to La Vaquita for many reasons: to satisfy their need for authentic Latin-flavor, as a lower fat but flavorful alternative to other cheeses, or to take advantage of the fact that La Vaquita cheeses are vegetarian.

To learn more about La Vaquita line of products, or to schedule an appointment during the show, please contact Castro Cheese directly at 713.460.0329 or via email at info@castrocheese.com.

About Castro Cheese Company

Founded in 1971, Castro Cheese Company is a leading manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of Hispanic cheeses and creams. The company markets its products under the "La Vaquita"(R) brand and is well known for the high quality and authenticity of its products.

"The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) will hold its Annual Conference and Career Expo October 9 - 11, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. Local officials are hailing this event as the largest Hispanic conference in Atlanta History. Over 8,000 MBA students, professionals and executives will converge in Atlanta to engage with top Hispanic leaders in America. The Career Expo boasts more than 300 corporations and academic institutions, 500 interview booths and more than 4,000 interviews on-site. The conference theme, "Make Your Connection" exemplifies the essence of the conference -- it is the most influential place where national and global business leaders, executives, academics, MBA professionals and students connect.

This year, NSHMBA is pleased to have Deloitte as corporate lead sponsor and Emory University, Goizueta Business School as the academic lead sponsor. "We are pleased that our lead sponsors not only embrace diversity, but are actively involved in the pursuit of diverse, global leaders and are committed to providing opportunities to ensure the pipeline continues to flourish," states NSHMBA CEO, Lourdes Hassler.

NSHMBA's three-day conference features a Professional Development Day, an exclusive Executive Forum, and the nation's largest career expo for Hispanic MBAs. The Professional Development Day includes break-through sessions presented by leading corporate executives and business experts. The Executive Forum was created to provide a venue for high-level Hispanic executives to convene and address the challenges and demands Hispanic executives face in corporate America.

During the conference, NSHMBA will recognize Hispanic scholars from across the country that were recently awarded over $1 million in NSHMBA scholarships and financial aid. The organization will also present the prestigious Brillante Awards for Excellence during the final evening gala on Saturday night. For an overview of the conference schedule and activities, please go to www.nshmba.org.

"There is excitement growing among Atlanta Latinas… and in the broader sense Hispanics. If you want to know the difference between the terms, be at Loca Luna on August 26th from 6:00-8:00 PM and ask anyone with the National Latina Business Women Association. These ladies are meeting with a purpose; to encourage membership in the organization formed for the support, mentoring, and education of Latinas.

There is a natural, perhaps cultural, camaraderie between these women that is inspiring. And that enthusiasm extends beyond their ranks. The Board of Directors for the NLBWA is comprised of some of the most active community-minded professionals you are likely to meet; a diverse international group of businesswomen that govern the organization with a commitment to take action; action to support the rich and underrepresented potential of Latinas in Atlanta's workforce. The goals define the programs, and programs are focused on empowerment and education.

When asked about the upcoming gathering, NLBWA Board President, Lily Winsaft, said, "For aspiring Latina entrepreneurs or Latinas interested in advancing their current careers, this event is not to be missed! NLBWA is dedicated to enriching the professional and business lives of Latinas. Our chapter - launched recently in Atlanta - is all about helping Latinas break through the barriers to success in business, whether it is climbing the corporate ladder or succeeding as business owners. The choices available in today's world can be daunting and we all need help navigating the myriad of resources out there. NLBWA is a membership organization that benefits Latinas in business through networking, connections, mentoring and educational workshops. All are welcome!"

Sponsored entirely by Loca Luna, voted one of the top 10 Latin Clubs in America by USA Today, the evening will include: free parking, cash bar, hors d'oeurvres, door prizes, networking opportunities, and a unique international brand of Girl Power! You will find Loca Luna… and the NLBWA, at 550 Amsterdam Avenue, NE Atlanta, Georgia 30306. Be there. "
