Alaska Airlines details Hispanic marketing efforts

“Alaska Airlines said its ramping up its marketing efforts to Hispanic audiences, citing a recent rollout of a Spanish-language ad campaign in Los Angeles.

The campaign is just one example of endeavors to appeal to Hispanics, said officials at the airline, a subsidiary of Seattle-based Alaska Air Group Inc. NYSE: ALK.”

Telemundo aims to capture Spanish-speaking market in Alaska

“Businesses wanting to make contact with the Hispanic community statewide have a new venue via a local UHF channel that is about to go on Dish Network.

“We want to be the new alternative Spanish-speaking station,” said Oscar Ibarra, marketing director for Ketchikan TV LLC. Ketchikan TV operates as KDMD Channel 33, and also operates channels 41 and 45 UHF in the Anchorage area, and as digital TV channels 32.1, and 32.2.”

Spanish programming ends on KSKA, decision questioned - Anchorage

“All locally produced Spanish language programming on public radio will end early next month, and the Hispanic Affairs Council of Alaska wants to know why.

The city’s Hispanic community is large and growing faster than ever, they say. Radio station KSKA has offered Spanish news, music and public affairs programs for at least 20 years — a mix of local and national shows.”
