Fannie Mae (NYSE: FNM) announced the company launched a Spanish version of its HomePath.com website designed to help more potential homeowners who speak Spanish purchase Fannie Mae-owned properties.

The new website in Spanish mirrors the English version of HomePath.com featuring an interactive search tool of Fannie Mae-owned properties nationwide, details about HomePath(R) financing, a mortgage payment calculator, property alerts, as well as information on foreclosure prevention and the Making Home Affordable(SM) program.

Through HomePath.com, potential homeowners can access a database that includes a wide selection of homes from around the country - including the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico - which can be purchased directly from Fannie Mae. Properties include detailed information and photographs of single-family homes, condominiums, and town houses located in a variety of neighborhoods.

"HomePath.com is a great resource that can help people find a lifelong home for themselves and their families," said Fannie Mae Executive Vice President, Terry W. Edwards. "The website has a wealth of information to inform and guide potential homeowners through the process of buying a Fannie Mae-owned property."

The new release of HomePath.com in Spanish is part of a continuous effort aimed at improving access to information and resources which play a vital role in aiding both English and Spanish-speaking populations in the U.S. purchase homes, while helping minimize the impact on communities hit by foreclosures.

For more information about HomePath, please visit www.HomePath.com and click "En Espanol", or for direct access to the website in Spanish, visit www.es.HomePath.com.

Fannie Mae exists to expand affordable housing and bring global capital to local communities in order to serve the U.S. housing market. Fannie Mae has a federal charter and operates in America's secondary mortgage market to enhance the liquidity of the mortgage market by providing funds to mortgage bankers and other lenders so that they may lend to home buyers. Our job is to help those who house America.

Se habla Espanol. The population of Spanish speakers in the U.S. continues to grow at a steady rate. The U.S. Hispanic population is now estimated at 47 million, and the number of Hispanic-owned businesses tripled between 1997 and 2002 (U.S. Census Bureau, 2009). To address this growing demographic, FindLaw.com (www.findlaw.com), the most-visited legal Web site for free legal information, has launched a new Spanish content center providing free legal information in Spanish.

The new "FindLaw en Espanol" (http://espanol.findlaw.com/) center will help the 35 million Spanish-speaking individuals in the U.S. (U.S. Census Bureau, 2009) learn about the law, get answers to common legal questions and find Spanish-speaking lawyers. The new center also provides helpful free legal information for the 1.6 million Hispanic-owned businesses. People looking for free legal information in Spanish will find trustworthy resources, including more than 100 informative articles across four of FindLaw.com's most popular legal topics:

* Family Law & Divorce (Ley de Familia y Divorcio)
* Employees' Rights (Derechos de los Empleados)
* Immigration & Citizenship (Inmigracion y Ciudadania)
* Civil Rights & Discrimination (Derechos Civiles y Discriminacion)

"We're excited to provide these valuable legal resources to our Spanish-speaking audience," said Karl Florida, vice president of Strategy & Business Development at FindLaw. "FindLaw's purpose is to help connect people with the law, and we're proud to help the legal system perform better by helping Spanish-speaking people gain fair access to legal content and representation."

The new "FindLaw en Espanol" center also features links to online Spanish-language legal resources from the federal government, and a lawyer directory that connects FindLaw.com visitors with experienced attorneys who are fluent in Spanish. The FindLaw Lawyer Directory has Spanish-speaking attorneys in every state.

The new "FindLaw en Espanol" center is available at http://espanol.findlaw.com/. For more information on the Spanish content on FindLaw.com, contact Michelle Croteau at michelle.croteau@thomsonreuters.com.

The U.S. Department of Education awarded the School of Education at the University of St. Thomas in Houston a $2.8 million Title V Education Grant to fund the Promoting Post Baccalaureate Opportunities for Hispanic Americans (PPOHA) Program. The purpose of the education grant is to implement programs to achieve parity among Hispanic graduate students and other underserved groups in retention and graduation rates.

The education grant will offer two options for students seeking a master's degree in education (MEd): 1) a complete online MEd, or 2) a hybrid master's degree that combines online classes with traditional face-to-face classes.

"This grant will not only infuse the master in education program with technology, it will also provide flexible course delivery for working adult students," said Dr. Robert LeBlanc, UST School of Education dean. "We will concentrate our efforts on achieving Hispanic graduate student enrollment that mirrors the percentage of Hispanics in Houston and the surrounding area."

The University of St. Thomas will begin teaching graduate education online courses in the fall of 2010. Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 will be awarded to Hispanic and low-income students in the second through fifth years of the grant. Graduate student fellowships are proposed to increase enrollment of Hispanics and low-income students in UST graduate programs.

Proposed solutions include increasing the information technology infrastructure for online and hybrid delivery of six masters-level education courses per year in the areas of dual language instruction, special education and administration. By increasing access to and completion of these programs, the University of St. Thomas will not only boost enrollment but also help to fill the critical shortages of P-12 masters-level educators in these areas.

"UST's master's education graduates are leaders who will train other teachers and thus have an influence far beyond a single classroom," UST President Dr. Robert Ivany said. "The success of this program will impact the educational pipeline for Hispanics at virtually every level." Visit our Web site at http://www.stthom.edu/education.

Building on its launch of the world's most advanced mobile homepage, Yahoo! today released Yahoo! Mobile en Espanol, a Spanish-language mobile homepage that is customized for the specific needs of the U.S. Hispanic consumer, delivering a highly engaging mobile Internet experience and setting a new industry standard.

Available across more than 1,900 mobile device models, Yahoo! Mobile en Espanol (visit http://espanol.yahoo.com from a mobile device) simplifies and enhances the mobile Internet experience for Hispanic consumers. Users can bring together their favorite content and services from across the Internet to create a personally relevant mobile experience, keeping the things they care about at their fingertips, and enhancing their ability to:

-- Discover via results from Yahoo!'s award-winning mobile Search, editor-selected content, and U.S. and global news content presented in Spanish, including the "America Latina" news section, which provides relevant content from the Latin American region.

-- Stay connected through access to email and social networking accounts from the most popular Web providers, as well as instant messaging, address book, and calendar functions.

-- Stay informed by bringing favorite Web content -sports, news, local information, RSS feeds, weather, stocks, horoscopes, and more - to a single location.

"With the launch of Yahoo! Mobile en Espanol, we are focused on growing our audience among the more than 46 million U.S. Hispanics(1) by providing a mobile experience that is both culturally and personally relevant, bringing together their world and the world around them," said Felipe Munoz, senior mobile director, Yahoo! Hispanic Americas. "With the introduction of our new Spanish-language homepage, we are well positioned as the center of people's online lives. We're reaching the highly influential and increasingly mobile Hispanic market with an engaging and customizable mobile Internet experience, regardless of the language users prefer."

Yahoo! is a leading Web brand on the mobile Internet in the U.S., reaching more than 35 million unique users per month(2). Over the last two years, global usage of Yahoo!'s mobile homepage has more than tripled(3). Part of this growth can be attributed to the fact that Yahoo! continues to deliver innovative and compelling mobile experiences to passionate consumers. Today's launch is no exception. According to comScore, mobile Internet usage among Hispanics is outpacing that of all other groups, with 88% of Hispanics consuming content on their mobile phones(4). Additional industry data concludes that Hispanics use more phone features, including Internet access, at higher rates than other mobile subscribers.(5)

"As companies expand to reach new mobile users around the globe, it is increasingly important to provide personalized mobile experiences combined with relevant content to address the cultural needs and interests of users," remarked Tuong Nguyen, Principal Research Analyst at Gartner Research.

Yahoo! Mobile en Espanol will enable marketers to reach the U.S. Hispanic audience with highly targeted advertisements through a variety of mobile advertising opportunities and advertising formats. With some of the highest quality inventory available and a highly engaged audience, Yahoo! is focused on working with brands to engage with their target demographic with the right message in the right place at the right time.

AOL Latino, http://www.aollatino.com, AOL’s leading bilingual portal for U.S. Hispanics, and impreMedia (http://www.impre.com), the nation’s No.1 Spanish-language online and print news publisher, announced an agreement to share content, in order to benefit Spanish speaking Internet users.

The agreement establishes that both companies, which are widely accepted by Latino cybernauts, will share content in two areas in particular: impreMedia, with an ample base of news coverage in the main cities with Hispanic presence in the United States, will provide news content to AOL Latino, which includes breaking news stories, analysis of the most recent local events and human interest stories, among others.

On the other hand, AOL Latino will provide its content in the lifestyle area, which includes fashion, beauty, family issues and others.

In order to channel this content exchange and put it to the user’s disposition in the easiest and most accessible way, impreMedia and AOL Latino will use their respective widgets for News and Life & Style content. That technological exchange will enrich the respective content platforms of both portals, in an attractive and comfortable way, for the enjoyment of Spanish speakers, who prefer to calm their thirst for up-to-date information via the Internet.

“The interactive exchange of digital content between the impreMedia chain and AOL Latino reinforces our mission of bringing the best news and information to the Latin community in the United States,” said Arturo Duran, CEO of impreMedia Digital. “We consider this alliance an innovative step toward the development of digital media because both companies will strengthen their presence in electronic outlets across the country to increase the amount of exclusive news content Spanish speakers have available to them.”

“With AOL Latino’s expansive national reach, working with impreMedia is a perfect match as their expertise is in reporting on what is happening in Latino communities across the United States at the grassroots level,” said Miguel Ferrer, Director of AOL Latino. “By reporting on issues that are of importance to Latino communities, our partnership will provide outlets for all consumers to visit while also sparking debate and action. We believe that together, ImpreMedia and AOL Latino can best empower millions of U.S. Hispanics to understand the issues and get involved.”

The ample base of impreMedia users include the digital versions of the following newspapers: La Opinión in Los Angeles, El Diario in New York, La Raza in Chicago, La Prensa in Orlando, El Mensajero in San Francisco and Rumbo in Houston, as well as its portal www.impre.com.

AOL Latino offers comprehensive Spanish language products and services including free email and instant messaging. The service also offers U.S. and Latin American news, financial tools, the latest in music and entertainment, personal finance, sports, fashion and beauty, as well as access to all the existing content available on AOL, http://www.aol.com.

Nation’s No. 1 Latin Pizza Brand launches "Nothing Like the Holidays" National Online Sweepstakes.

The 95-unit Pizza Patrón said today that it kicked-off its Nothing Like the Holidays national online sweepstakes in conjunction with the October 27th release of the DVD and Blu-ray™ in stores everywhere.

Pizza Patrón launched the online promotion with Anchor Bay Entertainment in conjunction with the October 27 DVD/Blu-ray™ release of Nothing Like the Holidays, by award-winning director Alfredo De Villa. The PG-13 comedy/drama stars Luis Guzmán, John Leguizamo, Debra Messing, Alfred Molina and Freddy Rodriguez and is a humorous and heartwarming story of one unforgettable family reunion during the holidays.

The Grand Prize for the promotion includes a flat screen TV, Blu-ray™ disc player and the Nothing Like the Holidays Blu-ray™ edition. Twenty runner-ups will receive a copy of Nothing Like the Holidays on DVD. Winners will be selected randomly and notified at the end of the contest.

Customers can enter to win at pizzapatron.com from November 1st through November 30th, 2009 for a chance to win the Grand Prize, view the movie trailer and download wallpapers for their computer. Open to all U.S. residents, age 13 or older, Pizza Patrón and movie fans can enter once per day and no purchase or payment is necessary. Void where prohibited.

Pizza Patrón brand director, Andrew Gamm, says this is the company’s second national online sweepstakes, and sees the movie ¬as a perfect complement to the brand’s personality: traditional Americana with a Latin twist.

“The movie tagline reads ‘They're just a typical American family. Minus the typical,’” says Guillermo Estrada, president of Pizza Patrón. “This is so true of our culture – there is no typical. Hispanics come in all shapes and sizes and from very diverse backgrounds, but Latino heritage is something that we all have in common. At Pizza Patrón, we strive to celebrate all aspects of Latin life and create a memorable experience for everyone who visits, no matter what their background is.”

Today, Pizza Patrón operates 95 stores in six states and plans to have 750 stores nationwide within a decade. Approximately 93 percent of Pizza Patrón restaurants in the U.S. are owned and operated by franchisees.
