Quepasa Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: QPSA) Quepasa.com, one of the world's fastest-growing Latino social networks, today announced that it will be collaborating with Mexico's Tourism Board -- officially known as the Consejo de Promocion Turistica de Mexico, SA de CA -- with regards to an online initiative aimed at promoting tourism to Mexico.

As part of this program, Quepasa will promote Mexico's beautiful tourist destinations via online communities, which will index content related to specific destination and facilitate user interaction via blogs and viral tools. At the same time, Quepasa and Mexico's Tourism Board will be approaching online travel agencies, hotels and airlines with regards to sponsoring a broader viral campaign using the Quepasa Distributed Social Media platform.

"Over the last several months, Mexico has received an unfair share of negative press," said John Abbott, Quepasa's CEO. "We believe that the word of mouth nature of our social media platform in combination with content relevant to the North American tourist provides the most effective and authentic solution toward reestablishing Mexico as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world."

Guias Local, Inc. announced today the Beta launch of their bilingual U.S. local search GuiasLocal.

GuiasLocal.com offers more than 20 million searchable businesses in both Spanish and English. GuiasLocal.com takes aim at local search with 200 cities, making it the largest bilingual non-yellow page in the U.S.

During the Beta, GuiasLocal.com will allow users to demo El Paso TX, testing both the reach and search accuracy of the search. GuiasLocal.com will continue its enhancements in a future version offering additional fields such as menus, pricing, handicap accessibility, kid friendly, services offered, and more.

GuiasLocal.com offers affordable advertising for businesses from free business submissions to ads throughout the GuiasLocal.com network. This will give small and large businesses the opportunity to reach Hispanics, a $575 billion market still in its infancy.

According to the Roslow Research Group, most of the U.S. Hispanic market with dual language abilities demonstrated better ad recall, persuasion and communication when the ads were in Spanish. There is definitely a fast-growing opportunity for search marketers with the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets. But to really capitalize on the potential of this market segment, search marketers will need to carefully plan a strategy that will help reach Latinos, and that takes into account the complexities of multiple languages, nationalities, cultures, gender and age demographics, and acculturation levels to the United States.

Additional cities will be available for search in early 2010 when the full launch of GuiasLocal.com is scheduled, as well as private label and mobile versions.

About Guias Local, Inc.
Guias Local, Inc. is the largest non-yellow page, bilingual local search in the United States with 200 major cities. Based in Orlando Florida, Guias Local, Inc. focuses on bringing consumers accurate, simple to use, local search in both Spanish and English via the internet and mobile platforms. For more information, email, call or visit GuiasLocal.com/.

Consorte Media, a leading digital marketing company connecting advertisers with Hispanics online, today announced the launch of the Tiene sites. The Tiene sites include TieneChic, TieneDinero, TieneSalud, TieneEDU, and TieneTec. The Tiene sites target second-generation Hispanic women and are in English and Spanish. The sites offer information and advice on finance, fashion, health and fitness, education and technology.

"Latinas are one of the fastest-growing, most tech-savvy groups of Internet users, but until the Tiene sites, there were few sophisticated and smart informational sites targeting this highly connected and influential group," said Alicia Morga, CEO of Consorte Media. "As a professional Latina, I saw there were few sites that served an audience like myself, so Consorte decided to work with the best content creators to launch the 'Tiene' line of sites to fill this gap."

The Tiene sister sites offer a wide range of targeted advertising options for brands looking to reach women in the lucrative second-generation Hispanic demographic (bilingual Latina women born and raised in the U.S.). The collective buying power of Hispanics is expected to rise sharply to $1.2 trillion in 2012, up from $862 billion in 2007 - and Hispanic women often drive the majority of their household's purchase decisions.

About Consorte Media

A coalition of national, state and local Hispanic leaders who are advocating in support of healthcare reform announced today the creation of Latinos United for Healthcare (LUH) and the launch of www.latinosunitedforhealthcare.org. Latinos United for Healthcare will serve as a platform for Latino leaders to engage in the healthcare reform debate and its website will be an organizing tool, providing relevant and up-to-date information about the current debate as well as ways to advocate for reform.

“We are asking all our LULAC members visit web site today and share their personal stories of struggle with us,” said LULAC National President Rosa Rosales. “With one in three Latinos lacking health insurance it is important that we speak out for the passage of health care reform now.”

LUH will work directly with national Latino organizations, as well as with Hispanic state and local elected officials, health experts, medical professionals, and community advocates. The campaign will include educational briefings in target states, media outreach and grassroots lobbying.

“In the coming weeks, Congress will have no doubt where the Latino community stands, said Rosales.”

The guiding principles of the coalition are to: 1) Improve and make healthcare more affordable; 2) End healthcare disparities; and 3) Not permit discrimination in the care received by the individual or families.

In support of these principles, LULAC invites the Latinos to visit www.latinosunitedforhealthcare.org to learn more and sign the petition.

The League of United Latin American Citizens, the oldest and largest Hispanic membership organization in the country, advances the economic conditions, educational attainment, political influence, health, housing and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs operating at more than 700 LULAC councils nationwide.

The blog, Latina Lista (www.latinalista.net), nationally recognized for delivering astute political analysis tinged with the Latina perspective, has also always offered its readers need-to-know news, captivating profiles and entertaining facts, in English, since its creation in 2004. As part of its natural progression as a trusted news source, Latina Lista re-launches today as an online niche news destination.

Founded by syndicated journalist Marisa Trevino, Latina Lista's editorial mission is to elevate the voices of Latinas/os by featuring stories about or of interest to Hispanic readers, not found in mainstream media.

A newly redesigned homepage -- retaining the signature pink masthead -- highlights, as never before, the high-quality content of Latina Lista with exciting additions: more original and multimedia stories, links to breaking headlines at respected news outlets and dedicated space showcasing news videos, documentaries, films and groundbreaking entertainment series and webisodes.

Yet, Latina Lista positions itself further in the forefront in this new age of journalism by creating a true community news entity through an unprecedented number of partnerships with respected regional Hispanic English-language publications, talented bloggers, esteemed college journalism departments, and amazing writers from south of the border.

"The news industry is obsessed with hyper-local content, yet when it comes to niche communities, like Latinos, most fail to realize that national is local," explains Marisa Trevino, publisher of Latina Lista.

"Within the Latino community, there is a strong collective sense of pride and interest when it comes to knowing about our fellow Latinos that isn't restricted by geographic boundaries," says Trevino.

With sections such as "Hometown News," that showcases content-sharing partnerships with regional Hispanic English-language publications, "Linking Latinas," a growing network of women writers from various South American countries reporting on the news in their countries to blogBeat Partners, where talented bloggers blogging on a particular topic of interest to Latina/o readers are highlighted, Latina Lista's partners further exemplify the belief that no matter where news impacting Latinas/os happens, it's of interest to the greater community.

In Spanish, lista means smart, intelligent and wise. For five years, Latina Lista has striven on a daily basis to deliver exactly that kind of content that inspires, informs, engages and interests all readers.

One could say that Latina Lista is the original "Wise Latina."
