Florida International University (FIU), one of the fastest-growing academic research centers in the United States, has opened registration for the Master’s Program in Spanish-Language Journalism and Multimedia which begins in August 2012.
The program offers:
– Investigative Journalism
– Training on Electronic Media
– Web Design for Journalists
– Digital Editing and Multimedia Production
– Business Education
– The possibility of internships in radio, television, print media and digital journalism in the most prestigious communications media located in South Florida.
The School of Journalism and Mass Communication also offers the option of a Master’s Program in Bilingual Journalism and the granting of a Certificate in Latin America Studies.
Latin American and Caribbean students can obtain scholarships in the form of a significant discount on the cost of the master’s program, applicable for the 2012-2013 academic year. These scholarships do not include books or other study materials, or medical insurance, accommodation, food, transportation or other incidental expenses.
FIU is among the 100 fully accredited journalism schools in the country. Consequently, admission requirements are highly competitive.
Deadline for Application
The deadline for receipt of applications from students residing in the United States is June 1, 2012. International students must send their applications for admission prior to April 1, 2012, and all their documentation prior to June 1, 2012.
