  • Vecinos Toxicos (Toxic Neighbors) – Reporter Azucena Gomez reports about the fear that a Southern California based lead-acid battery recycling facility is giving the surrounding community. Gomez will be covering a public meeting hosted by the Department of Toxic Substance Control to express their concerns about Exide Technologies. The special report will air on February 23 at 11PM.

  • Trampa Universitaria (The College Trap) – Anchor Ruben Luengas investigates what could be the next financial crisis for Hispanic students who can’t pay thousands of dollars in student loans. As young Hispanics try to reach the American dream, they face a true nightmare as they struggle to pay their college student loans.  This special report will air on February 28 at 11PM.

  • La Lucha Despues de la Guerra (The Fight After The War) – Reporter Vicky Gutierrez provides an in-depth look at one of the most challenging problems that Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are facing upon their return home: post-traumatic stress disorder. Recent studies show that nearly 20 percent of all Iraq and Afghanistan vets have reported symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder or major depression, including many Hispanic men and women who have been in the front lines. Gutierrez investigates how they are dealing with this problem and how they adjust from combat zone to civilian society. This special report will air on February 29 at 11PM.
