LITZY AND EUGENIO SILLER TO STAR IN TELEMUNDO’S PRIMETIME TELENOVELA “UNA MAID EN MANHATTAN” – Telemundo and Sony Pictures Television Co-production to be Taped in New York, Mexico, Los Angeles and Miami

MIAMI – August 29, 2011 – Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and Telemundo are proud to announce that Litzy and Eugenio Siller will be the stars of “Una Maid en Manhattan,” a co-production from the two companies to be taped in HD in Mexico, Los Angeles, New York and Miami. In addition, Litzy and Siller will perform the theme song for this stellar original production.

“Una Maid en Manhattan” tells the story of Marisa Luján (Litzy), a young Mexican woman who, due to unfortunate and unexpected circumstances, immigrates to the United States with Lalo, her 10 year-old son. After briefly settling in Los Angeles, Marisa moves to Manhattan where she works as a maid in one of the most prestigious and luxurious hotels in the Big Apple. A romantic love story blossoms when, after a twist of fate, she meets Cristóbal Parker Salas (Eugenio Siller), a successful, young entrepreneur who mistakes her for a guest of the hotel.

About the stars:

Litzy is a well-known Mexican actress and singer who has participated in numerous telenovelas, including Telemundo’s “Amarte Así” (also known as Frijolito), where she also sang the theme song. Previously, Litzy participated and was a winner in Telemundo’s reality show “Protagonistas de la Fama VIP.” Following her participation in the pop band “Jeans,” Litzy went solo and her song “No Te Extraño” was one of the most popular tunes in Europe and was chosen as the theme song for the movie “Sex, Pudor y Lágrimas.”

Renowned Mexican actor and singer Eugenio Siller most recently played the lead star of Telemundo’s original production “Aurora,” where he also sang the theme song. Siller was featured in this year’s People en Español “50 Más Bellos” (50 Most Beautiful) and has participated in numerous telenovelas, including “Al Diablo con los Guapos”, “Rebelde”, “Código Postal” and “Mi Pecado.” He began his career doing commercials, musical comedies and theatre.
