The longest running bilingual alternative show in Los Angeles ‘Travel Tips for Aztlan’ (TTFA) on KPFK 90.7 FM continues to spin international sounds defying cultural, industry and language borders.

Last weekend, Mariluz was in command of TTFA premiering a newly released collection on  New Weird Latin America “Little Richard of The Valley” a genius tribute to Richie Valens by some Mexico’s emerging indie bands such as Yellow Yesterday, Los Macuanos, Joe Volume, Martinez & Apache O’Raspi (Suave As Hell member), Childs, Ella Tiene Dos Androides amongst others. The musical sounds on this gem ran the gamut from ‘rockabilly’, 50’s, to incredible lo-fi, to shoe gaze!

Special guests included female hip hop duo Krudas Cubensi Pasa Cruda (Odaymara Cuesta) & Pelusa MC (Olivia Prendes) whose music combine socially conscious lyrics with a skillful delivery to create a bolstering feminist claim donpalabraz.com/?p=5963.
