KPFK‘Travel Tips for Aztlan’ welcomed renowned artist, painter, muralist, and singer- songwriter ELOY TORREZ to ‘TRAVEL TIPS FOR AZTLAN’ studios last week.
ELOY TORREZ performed set of his most recent compositions in our intimate and legendary studios.
Eloy also shared with our audiences anecdotes about the great murals he has created around the world. Such as  Legends of Hollywood,” – destroyed during the Northridge Earthquake in 1994.), “The Pope of Broadway” (Victor Clothing Co.) – 1984  “Entrada a un Nuevo Mundo” Francs-Moisins, Cite Francs-Moisins, St. Denis, France  -1991 and “Water, essence of  life”  1998, an installed, interior mural  for the Metropolitan Water District Building, downtown Los Angeles, and his latest mural “Portrait of Hollywood”(2003).
ELOY TORREZstarted to paint murals in 1983 focusing in human figure and psychological circumstance, and with great international exhibitions since 1978. Torrez has conducted huge art workshops during his brilliant career and received multiple awards for his amazing art work.
