Aylin Mujica, Rafael Amaya and Daniel Sarcos to Host 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards

The 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm® will be hosted by Aylin Mujica, Rafael Amaya, and Daniel Sarcos. With a winning combination of experience, beauty and fast rising fame, the trio will host a star-studded show jam-packed with live performances and awards, honoring the best of Latin music.  The awards show is preceded by the red carpet special “La Alfombra Roja de los Premios Billboard Presentado por State Farm” which will be hosted by Rashel Díaz and Omar Germenos, with Jorge Bernal and Azucena Cierco. The 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm® is the longest running and most prestigious awards show in the Latin music industry and it will take place on Thursday, April 28, starting with the red carpet at 7PM/6c on Telemundo, from BankUnited Center in Miami, Florida.

 

Renowned actress and TV host Aylin Mujica possesses an exceptional talent that has landed her roles in successful Telemundo novelas like “Marina,” “Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso,” “Niños Ricos Pobres Padres” and  “Aurora;” she has also worked on other important TV productions such as “La Dueña,” “Canción de Amor,” “Señora,” “Agua y Aceite” and “La Heredera.”  Known for her charisma and artistic versatility, Aylin Mujica has also hosted the Billboard Latin Music Awards for three consecutive years.

Rafael Amaya has become one of the favorite leading men in telenovelas. The fame of the attractive Mexican actor who was once part of the famous musical group Garibaldi, has risen in and beyond the United States, thanks to his recent successful role in “La Reina del Sur” with Kate del Castillo, playing the character of El Güero Dávila.  Rafael, who has also had successful roles in television series from Spain, played the famous character of Dr. Julián García, the assassin in Telemundo’s hit novela “Alguien Te Mira.”

Renowned Venezuelan host, Daniel Sarcos, was the face of the show “Súper sábado Sensacional” (Super Sensational Saturday) for 12 consecutive years, in addition to hosting the Miss Venezuela beauty pageant for five years. Along with Viviana Gibelli, he also co-he hosted the show “La Guerra de los Sexos” (Battle of the Sexes) which aired in several Latin American countries. In 2008, Sarcos was hired by Gama TV in Ecuador to host “El Familión de Nestlé,” the Spanish language version of “Deal or No Deal.”  Today, Sarcos is a co-host of Telemundo’s popular morning show “Levantate.”

Telemundo’s highest rated music special begins at 7PM ET/PT with “La Alfombra Roja de los Premios Billboard Presentado por State Farm,” the highly anticipated red carpet arrivals pre-show, which features the best in fashion and interviews with the stars as they parade down the carpet moments before the big show. “La Alfombra Roja de los Premios Billboard Presentado por State Farm” will be hosted by Rashel Díaz and Omar Germenos, with Jorge Bernal and Azucena Cierco. The red carpet pre-show is followed by the prestigious awards gala at 8PM ET/PT. 

 

The star-studded line up of performers at the 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards presented by State Farm® include Juanes, Lucero, Marc Anthony, Chino y Nacho, Dyland & Lenny, Roberto Tapia, Maná, Luis Fonsi, Cristian Castro, Jencarlos Canela, Gloria Trevi, Pitbull, Camila, Don Omar, T-Pain, Fidel Rueda and Banda El Recodo.
