Telemundo unveils today the official site for the 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards Presented by State Farm®, www.Telemundo.com/PremiosBillboard. The fully bilingual and now completely redesigned site offers exclusive online access to many exciting features including simultaneous online live stream, up-to-the-minute information about this year’s event, as well as photos and videos of the hottest and most memorable and surprising moments. PremiosBillboardTelemundo. The live telecast of the 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards Presented by State Farm® takes place on Thursday, April 28 at 8PM/7c and will be broadcast in High Definition on Telemundo.
The interactive experience begins with the beautiful 360 Girl who will lead users to experience the virtual ‘walk of the red carpet’ like a celebrity. The personalized virtual tour with the 360 Girl will also guide them backstage with exclusive VIP access. Telemundo’s popular personality Jorge Bernal is taking his famous ‘Check It Out’ phrase to the next level, becoming the face of Telemundo.com during the live telecast, where he will bring the audience to the “Digital Zone” for exclusive backstage interviews.
By accessing www.Telemundo.com/PremiosBillboard, fans will also be able to cast their votes for their favorite finalist and help to select the winner of the “Premio Tu Mundo” (Your World Award). On-line voting begins April 1st and ends on April 28th at 7pm ET. While the recipients of the Billboard Latin Music Awards are determined by actual sales and radio airplay data as listed on Billboard’s weekly charts, the “Premio Tu Mundo” winner is decided solely by fans’ votes compiled on the website and is announced during the live telecast. All users will also have the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes every twenty-four hours from March 25th thru April 15th to increase their chances of winning a trip to Miami and attend the Billboard Latin Music Awards Presented by State Farm®. After the awards show, website visitors will be able to enjoy a recap of the entire event featuring the best moments of the program and after party coverage, the best/worst of the red carpet, the best one-on-one interviews and, reactions from winners, musical performers, guests and fans.
