Indie dream-pop group Hello Seahorse! have been quite busy lately as lead singer “Lo Blondo” just recently collaborated with Mexican rock group Zoé on their MTV Unplugged episode.  The band just released their latest epic “Lejos. No Tan Lejos” on CD which you can now order on Amazon HERE .  Hello Seahorse! is also getting ready to premiere their latest video for “Me Has Olvidado”.  Also today, we have the return of legendary Spanish rock group, Jarabe de Palo who brings us their digital single, “La Queiro a Morir” which is a collaboration featuring non other than 12 time Grammy winner, Alejandro Sanz! You can download the track on iTunes HERE.  Jarabe’s new full-length album, “¿Y Ahora Qué Hacemos?” will be on iTunes April 26, and everywhere else on May 10.

Hello Seahorse’s new album was produced by Money Mark and recorded at his home studio in L.A. Pitchfork has spotlighted Hello Seahorse “among the continent’s most exciting current young groups” and Stereogum says they “have a knack for writing pop songs that hit you immediately.”  KCRW’s Nic Harcourt recently invited the group to perform a session at the historic Village Studios for his new site The Live Buzz. Nic says, “Hello Seahorse! have ridden a rising tide of acclaim that is carrying them well beyond their native borders… transcending any conventional definition (or stereotype) of Latin music.”

JARABE DE PALO

Iconic Spanish act Jarabe de Palo is back with its eighth release, ‘Y Ahora Que Hacemos?’ The lead single is “La Quiero A Morir,” a cover of a French classic, “Je l’aime a mourir.” The track features superstar Alejandro Sanz on vocals. Additional special guests on the new album include Joaquin Sabina. Jarabe de Palo will launch their new album with a show in July at New York City’s Central Park SummerStage as part of the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC).

Fronted by prolific songwriter Pau Dones, Barcelona-based Jarabe de Palo is characterized by their catchy fusion of rock and blues with Latin rhythms. The group originally broke onto the international scene with their timeless smash hit “La Flaca.” Throughout its storied career, the group has sold more than five million albums. Jarabe de Palo has garnered countless accolades including ten career Latin GRAMMY nominations. They have collaborated with a wide variety of major artists such as Celia Cruz, Compay Segundo, Pavarotti and Chrissy Hynde (The Pretenders).
