It boils down to parental involvement and private education. Kids drop out of school out of boredom and educator apathy. The public school system is about lifetime employment for mediocre “professionals” rather than educating future generations. Latinos dropping out of high school may mean they know that what they’re going through is a joke of an education. Unfortunately their parents probably with no more than a primary education, are not exactly the kind that can do much more than offer moral support in encouraging continued education.
