Guy Ecker, Blanca Soto, Julian Gil, Vanessa Villela and Legendary Actress Susana Dosamantes to Star in Univision’s Highly Anticipated Novela “Eva Luna”- Grand Television Premiere, Monday, November 1st at 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central); Online Premiere November 2nd

Univision announced today the full list of actors for the highly anticipated novela, “Eva Luna.” Produced by Venevision International in association with Univision Studios, the stellar cast for the network’s first dramatic production is led by novela heartthrob Guy Ecker and renowned Latin film actress Blanca Soto, making her television debut in a novela. Versatile actor/model Julian Gil, stunning actress Vanessa Villela and legendary actress Susana Dosamantes, among others, are also part of the production’s spectacular ensemble. Produced and broadcast entirely in high definition (HD), “Eva Luna” premieres on Monday, November 1st, 2010 at 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central) on the Univision Network. A modern love story set in Los Angeles; “Eva Luna” revolves around the life of Eva González (Soto), a strikingly beautiful but humble and enterprising young woman. Like so many immigrants who come to the U.S., Eva arrives with her father and younger sister to California in search of a better life. However, little does Eva know that in order to find happiness she will first have to suffer tremendous loss, as her life is intertwined with dark family secrets, lies, deception and the unstoppable ambition of one family.

Eva finds true love when she meets Daniel Villanueva (Ecker), a successful advertising executive and wealthy widower who has a young daughter. At first, Daniel and Eva’s relationship is a disastrous roller coaster of love and hate, but ultimately they can’t deny the feelings they have for each other. This attraction becomes very evident to Daniel’s best friend Leonardo (Gil), a consummate “Casanova” who is determined to make Eva his at any cost, creating an irreparable rift among the two friends. Additionally, Victoria (Villela), Daniel’s fiancée and Leonardo’s sister, and Marcela (Dosamantes), his boss and future mother-in-law, will also stop at nothing to keep Daniel and Eva apart.

Eva suddenly loses her father to an automobile accident and an unfortunate twist of fate leads her to believe that Daniel was the man behind the wheel. Devastated by the loss, she vows to avenge his death and Leonardo seizes the opportunity to separate her from Daniel. Eva unwittingly falls into his trap, unaware that she’s living a lie with her father’s real murderer. Meanwhile, Daniel does not understand why Eva suddenly hates him and, believing she only played with his feelings, decides to marry Victoria.

Through an unexpected turn of events Eva inherits the advertising agency Daniel works for and reenters his life, now as his boss. Armed with a position of power and a new identity as “Luna,” she sets her plan for revenge in motion, but struggles between keeping the promise she made at her father’s grave or forgiving Daniel. However, Daniel is not fooled by Eva’s new façade and, now aware of Leonardo’s deception, decides to fight to prove his innocence and once again win her heart. Will their love be strong enough to overcome the obstacles that keep them apart?

The novela’s cast also includes renowned actress Lupita Ferrer as well as actors Alejandro Chabán, José Guillermo Cortinez, Harry Geithner, Greidys Gil, Eduardo Ibarrola, Jorge Lavat, Leticia Morales, Sonia Nohemí, Francis Ondiviela, Daniela Schmidt, Ana Silvetti, Sofía Stomatiades, Franklin Virgüez and Raúl Xiques.
