1st State of the Hispanic/Latino Web Data Table: Blogs & Websites: Traffic, Social Media & Search Engine Index

Last night I came up the idea to put together a table showing the publicly available data that is out there regarding Hispanic/Latino sites, movements etc. I figure that I am probably one of the most qualified to do this as I am constantly scouring the web for quality content. On the morning of September 21st, 2010, I compiled this data into one table but please beware that things are always changing so this is just a snapshot. (I know this because the data for my site has changed tremendously this year).

The data was collected randomly so the sites aren’t in alphabetical order. This table is also available for download as an excel spreadsheet for you truly geeky numbers folk.

The data covers quancast traffic figures some estimated and some verified as well as twitter and facebook numbers and then finally search engine index data. Most of the numbers are a link to the source.

It is my hope that this just be a helpful tool to understanding some of what is going on out there.

Please be aware that Quantcast numbers are very suspect to me but they still aren’t anywhere near as bad as Alexa whose numbers are so far off.  In fact, when compared with 2 other analytic services for traffic on HispanicTips, Google Anayltics and Clicky, Quantcast was off by 25% for US traffic.  I am not sure how this is possible.  Either way even if you use them or not their numbers are out their influencing the public’s perception of our sites.
