Hispanic Business the Topic of Louisville Networking Event

The Seed 2020, www.theseed2020.com, will present a free networking event focusing on Hispanic businesses in Louisville. The meet up is at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 10, and will feature presentations from Hispanic business leaders in Louisville.

The program will take place at Creative Workplace, 1205 E. Washington St., Suite 101, Louisville, hosted by Seed2020 partner Stephanie Ringer. The event is sponsored by Stephen E. Arnold of Arnold Information Technology, www.arnoldit.com.

The Seed2020 is a networking project focused exclusively on showcasing interesting women-owned and minority-owned businesses. The purpose of the meet up is to make contacts, learn about companies, and advance President Barack Obama’s vision for small business success.

Featured speakers on June 10 include Braulio Mesa of Mesa’s Catering, specializing in Cuban cuisine; Marilyn Cordova-Winchell of Cordova Flooring Contractors; Sergio Estrada of Real Estate Unlimited; and Peter DelValle of Latino Enterprises, which publishes El Shopper Latino. The event is facilitated by Carmel Stauffer, a previous Seed 2020 speaker, and her colleagues.

Presentations will be in Spanish; the question and answer session will be conducted in both English and Spanish. PowerPoint slides will be in English and Spanish. There will also be directed networking time allotted to encourage attendees to make new connections in the Louisville business community.

The Seed 2020 planning group plans to present more events in the Louisville area in the future, co-chair Keisha Mabry said. “There is not enough of this type of active networking, and we want these events to be a way to make business happen and get ideas flowing among motivated individuals.”
