BBC Worldwide Channels appoints Dan Salerno as VP of Programming for Latin America and US Hispanic

Dan will be responsible for leading strategic programming efforts for BBC Entertainment and CBeebies en Español, encompassing program strategy, scheduling, and production.
Based in Miami, Salerno will oversee the programming team, strengthening the core genres and identifying new avenues to grow the network portfolio in both regions. In his new role, Dan reports to Jessica Rodriguez, Senior VP and General Manager, BBC Worldwide Latin America and U.S. Hispanic.

Dan Salerno is a media executive with over 20 years experience in network television strategy, programming, development, and business. Prior to joining BBC Worldwide Channels, Salerno served as SVP Programming, Production, & Development for the music channel Fuse, where he lead the network to record ratings growth.
Previously, he spent almost two decades at Discovery Communications, supervising the development, scheduling, acquisitions, program evaluation, and programming strategy for Military Channel, Discovery Home Channel and Discovery en Español. He also performed as Vice President of Program Planning for Discovery Networks, where he directed programming content and strategic opportunities across all of Discovery’s 14 U.S. channels.
