ImpreMedia, the No. 1 Hispanic News and Information Company in the U.S. in Online and Print, today named Liz Sarachek Blacker as Publisher of Vista Magazine, impreMedia’s dual language magazine now in its 25th year. Blacker will continue as Senior Vice President, Digital Sales for impreMedia Digital. The announcement was made today by Monica Lozano, Senior VP of Publications for impreMedia and Publisher & CEO of La Opinión. In this new role, Blacker will report to Lozano, a nationally recognized leader in Hispanic media.

As Publisher of Vista Magazine, Blacker will be charged with the development of short and long-term sales initiatives, content strategies for print, digital and mobile, marketing, distribution and production. She will directly manage the magazine’s sales and editorial staff. Blacker’s expertise between mediums makes this a natural move given cross platform consumer behavior, emerging media business models and client expectations.

“In selecting Liz to lead our publishing activities for Vista along with advertising for our digital properties, we recognize the great advantage to deliver across medium(s),” said Lozano. “Liz is a strong leader in this space and will bring great value to our core business while being instrumental in pursuing our corporate directives to aggressively pursue consumers on and off line.”

Blacker added: “I am excited for the opportunity to continue to innovate across impreMedia now incorporating Vista Magazine and its website www.vistamagazine.com into our cross-platform sales activities. We will continue to engage and utilize mobile, social media and all relevant media tactics, rewarding advertisers and consumers alike. This is a legacy brand that is well known and appreciated by the media community. Our goal is to ensure Vista provides best in breed content be it digital, print, mobile, customized client solutions, excellent customer service and metrics driven programs for our advertisers.”

Blacker has been at impreMedia over 2 years and has nearly 20 years experience launching new media properties including Yahoo’s Hispanic Division, The Wall Street Journal Americas and Fortune Magazine Latin America. She was named one of Advertising Age’s 2004 “Women to Watch” and is a founding board member of The Internet Advertising Bureau’s Hispanic Committee.
