Juanes Will Unveil New Music For The First Time In Three Years, As He Will Debut The First Single From His Eagerly Awaited Fifth Album- Planned For Release Later This Fall

This morning in Johannesburg, South Africa, FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), the international governing body of football, and Control Room – the world’s leading producer of global music events – announced that Colombian rock superstar JUANES is confirmed to perform at the FIFA WORLD CUP KICK–OFF CELEBRATION CONCERT (See full press-release below). Taking place on June 10, 2010, at Orlando Stadium in Soweto/Johannesburg and set for broadcast to hundreds of millions of television viewers across the globe, the concert will see Juanes unveil new music for the first time in three years, as the GRAMMY and 17-Time LATIN GRAMMY winner will debut the first single from his highly-anticipated fifth album.

Juanes is currently in London, where he has just begun principal recording for the eagerly awaited album – which is expected to see release in late fall of this year.
