The 2010 NCLR Capital Awards paid tribute to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D–NV) and Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R–FL) last night for their commitment to the policy priorities of the Latino Community. Beverly Robertson, President of the National Civil Rights Museum, received the Capital Award for Public Service. NCLR (National Council of La Raza)—the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States— works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans.
