Pan American Bank (Los Angeles), Rotary Club of East Los Angeles Host Fundraiser

“Pan American Bank (Los Angeles) today announced that it will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Sixth Annual Rotary Club of East Los Angeles Casino Night Fundraiser at Tamayo Restaurant on Friday, February 12, 2010. This year’s guest of honor will be Congresswoman Judy Chu.

“Pan American Bank is honored to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Rotary Club of East Los Angeles’ Casino Night Fundraiser. For over 80 years the Rotary Club of East Los Angeles has served the needs of the East Los Angeles community. We are proud to support such a committed organization,” said Pan American Bank CEO Jesse Torres. “I have seen firsthand the work that has been done by the Rotary Club of East Los Angeles. As a community bank, Pan American Bank could not have aligned itself with a better community partner.”

This year the Rotary Club of East Los Angeles is raising funds for scholarships and a literacy program at a local elementary school. Other projects include sponsorship of youth clubs at three local schools, leadership training for local students, a community clean up, construction work at an Ensenada, Mexico orphanage and international water projects. The Rotary Club of East Los Angeles also donates to other local nonprofit organizations.
