Janet Murguía, President and CEO of NCLR (National Council of La Raza), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, will congratulate Emilio Estefan, the Grammy Award-winning musician and CEO of Estefan Enterprises, on the release of his new book at an event to be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. Murguía will serve as co-host with Francisco Sanchez at the celebration for Rhythm Of Success: How An Immigrant Produced His Own American Dream, in which Estefan shares the guiding principles that helped him build a successful business that encompasses music, hotels, restaurants, artist management, real estate, television and film production, and more.
“Emilio Estefan personifies the dream that brings hopeful, hard-working immigrants to America. His enormous talent and entrepreneurial skill have propelled him to the forefront of the entertainment industry, and his book lays out the values and ideas that brought him there. What is most impressive about Emilio and his wife, Gloria, is the commitment they make to giving back to the community. I am greatly appreciative of their work to help NCLR register and encourage Latinos to vote and to spark enthusiasm for the NCLR ALMA Awards® program, which highlights Hispanic talent in the entertainment industry,” said Murguía.
In the Rhythm Of Success, Estefan speaks to readers interested in establishing their own plans for success either by climbing higher on the corporate ladder or by starting or growing their own businesses.”
