2010 List of Latinos We Have Lost – R.I.P.
In early January 2010, I was dismayed (to put it mildly) by the fact that The New York Times included a chimpanzee among the 23 important “people” who died during the year, but not one Latino and Dead Latinos Por Jose R. Sanchez – (or how the NYTimes ignored/missed the death of various Latinos in its year-end roundup). When I collected these articles, I decided that I would do a better job next year. So here “in my opinion” are some of our greater losses so far this year. There are many more, well over 100, that I collected in 2010 – all viewable here: www.hispanictips.com/tag/rip/
I know the year isn’t over but I want to give the list a couple of weeks to solidify before finalizing. Now this isn’t an easy list to compile as no loss is insignificant so if I forgot or missed anyone or if you have any suggestions please send me the info with a link tomas@hispanictips.com
