Celebrate the Holidays with the Three Kings Fiesta at GALA Hispanic Theatre – Free for the entire family! – DC

For more than 30 years GALA has celebrated the holidays with its traditional gift to the community, Fiesta de los Reyes Magos/The Three Kings Day Celebration. On Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 2 pm, GALA will again observe the time honored story of the three magi with song, dance and storytelling for the entire family in this bilingual presentation that preserves this popular celebration of the Latino cultures.

Fiesta de los Reyes Magos will be presented at the GALA Theatre, 3333 14th Street, NW. Admission is free, but a gift for a child is requested. Tickets for the event will be distributed at the GALA box office at noon on a first-come, first serve basis. Parking is available at a discount in the Giant Food parking garage on Park Road, NW (validation at the theater). A procession with the Three Kings and live animals will begin at 1:30 pm at the corner of Park Road and 14th Street, NW.

The 2010 Fiesta de los Reyes Magos will feature singer Maria Isolina, Jaime Coronado, Co-Artistic Director of the Spanish Dance Society; Los Quetzales, a youth Mexican dance company directed by Laura Ortiz; and the popular dance group Alma Boliviana. The event will also feature the traditional nativity and the giving of gifts by the magi. TV personality Andrea Sarralde of Noticiero Telemundo will serve as master of ceremonies. Churros and hot chocolate will be served following the performance.
