The Department of Veterans Affairs Joins LULAC in Supporting the 4th Annual Hispanic Veterans Summit

“The League of United Latin American Citizens, the largest and olldest Hispanic civil rights organization in the country in partnership with the U.S. Department of Affairs announced the 4th Annual 2009 Summit in Los Angeles today.

’s Summit will address issues of critical importance to U.S. and their families in a state with over 13.2 million Latino residents. You can expect to hear from cabinet secretaries, political leaders, government experts, local elected officials, and respected business and community leaders,” said National President Rosa Rosales.

Keynote speakers include John U. Sepulveda, Assistant Secretary, Office of Human Resources and Administration and Steve L. Muro, Acting Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs at the U.S. Department of Affairs.

The Summit will take place on December 3-5, 2009 at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Attendees will participate in two days of cutting edge seminars, break-out sessions, job and health fairs and clinics including interactive informational displays.

“This is about doing what is best for those who serve this country and using every federal, state and community asset to do it,” said National Executive Director Brent Wilkes. “We’re proud of the people and the organizations who have stepped up to make sure everyone who bravely and courageously served this country gets the services they deserve.”

There will be a free two-day expo showcasing services, education and employment opportunities and resources to start your own business. The job fair features top companies and federal agencies looking to hire.
