Series Explores the Rite of Passage Celebration for Young Latinas Turning 15
Spin-Off Series QUIERO MI BODA to Premiere January 2010
NEW YORK, NY (November 11, 2009): MTV Tr3s announced today the return of hit series QUIERO MIS QUINCES on November 16th at 9 P.M. ET/PT. The eight episode series features nine girls who set out to plan their Quinceañera, a unique celebration of their 15th birthday and official entry into womanhood. The finale of QUIERO MIS QUINCES will be followed by the debut of spinoff series, QUIERO MI BODA, a look inside another emotional milestone in a Latina’s life, her wedding.
“A Quinceañera is an iconic event in a young Hispanic woman’s life to be remembered forever, and the parties featured in each episode will not soon be forgotten by MTV Tr3s’ audience,” says Jose Tillan, General Manager of MTV Tr3s. “Since most families dream of an event like this since a girl’s birth, the stakes are even higher.”
QUIERO MIS QUINCES, now in its fourth season, explores the planning of every detail of these lavish teenage affairs, from the princess style gowns to the music and centerpieces fit for a wedding reception. This important event marks not only a girl’s fifteenth birthday; it is also a source of pride for the hard work and achievements of a family and the culmination of their American dream.
QUIERO MIS QUINCES tells the story of eight families preparing for a Quinceañera unlike anything their friends and family have seen – from over the top themes to guest lists that include celebrities like Henry Santos Jeter of Aventura and Cruz Martinez from Los Super Reyes. MTVTr3s.com will join the celebration with exclusive content, including flipbooks of every Quinceañera, deleted scenes and customizable animated postcards to host your own Quinceañera at home.
The fiesta doesn’t end there. The finale of QUIERO MIS QUINCES will be followed by the debut its spin off program, QUIERO MI BODA on January 18th 2010. This MTV Tr3s series goes inside the wedding of a bride and groom of different nationalities.
