ERNEST BROMLEY INDUCTED INTO ADVERTISING HALL OF FAME

Chairman and CEO of Bromley Communications, LLC, Ernest W. Bromley was one of six inducted into the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame today in Dallas.

Among the others honored was Bromley’s former business partner, Lionel Sosa.  A quarter of a century after Bromley and Sosa first collaborated to build a top creative shop grounded on strategic research and consumer understanding, the pair were individually lauded for their years of dedication and innovation to the marketing industry.

Bromley and Sosa founded the agency in 1981 in downtown San Antonio with a handful of staff and a shared a vision. Ultimately they succeeded in bringing the Latino culture to the forefront of the advertising industry, and as a result they are considered the “godfathers” of Hispanic marketing.  Sosa “retired” many years ago, but has not stopped contributing to the fabric of the industry.  Bromley, still based out of downtown San Antonio, now leads a team of 140 professionals at the agency that bears his name.

Bromley was nominated based on his legacy with the agency. He was then officially selected as an inductee by his peers during the American Advertising Federation Tenth District Convention. An active community and civic leader, Bromley currently serves as the local chairman and is part of the National Hispanic Council for Junior Achievement. He is a board member of National Association of Latino Arts & Culture (NALAC), Nielsen Hispanic Advisory Council, Boy Scouts National Hispanic Advisory Council, Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Alameda National Center for Latino Arts & Culture and Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation, among others.

Many advertising professionals, hailing from all over the Southwest, were in attendance to honor the inductees.

The Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame encompasses Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The mission of the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame is to honor men and women from our region who have distinguished themselves in their careers, who have contributed to the betterment of advertising and its reputation, and who have made volunteer efforts outside the workplace.
