“Festival de la Familia:
WHAT:

To promote National and to celebrate the colorful mix of Latino cultures and art in Northern California, the Festival de la Familia Board of Directors is sponsoring a poster contest. The first place winning artwork will be made into the official poster for the 2010 Festival de la Familia.

WHEN:

National – recognized across our nation from September 15 to October 15 – celebrates the ethnic diversity of Hispanic Americans through culture and traditions, representing the people of Spain, the Caribbean, North, Central, and South America. The contest will run from today until Monday, November 30, 2009. Winners will be honored at the 19th Annual Festival de la Familia (Festival of the Family) on Sunday, April 25, 2010.

WHY:

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges, and submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria: portrayal of Festival theme and message; visual effectiveness; creativity and originality of artwork; universal appeal; and quality of design.

WHO:

Northern California artists are invited to showcase their artistic talent and celebrate the diversity of our community by participating in the contest. The poster contest is open to all Northern California legal residents. Void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. All federal, state and local regulations apply.
