We just received confirmation that Eva Longoria Parker is now officially confirmed for In Performance at the White House: Fiesta Latina. She will co-host the October 13 concert at the White House with George Lopez and Jimmy Smits. The event, for broadcast on PBS on October 15 at 8 p.m., will include performances by Marc Anthony, Pete Escovedo, Gloria Estefan, José Feliciano, Thalía, Tito “El Bambino”, the Bachata music group Aventura, and the Chicano rock band Los Lobos. Sheila E. will be the music director.
We’re pleased to also share that this sepecial celebrating Hispanic musical heritage will have a very broad reach to Spanish-speaking audiences, with a second window broadcast deal with Telemundo and V-me. The special will premiere on Telemundo, the American Spanish-language television network, on Sunday, October 18 at 6 p.m. ET, and on V-me, the national Spanish language network partnered with public television, on Friday, December 25.
Brief bios for all of these artists are available at www.pressroom.pbs.org. The original broadcast release, which went out before Longoria’s participation was confirmed and so does not list her, is below, in both English and Spanish.
