Hispanic Business Magazine Honors Liberty Power as one of the Fastest-Growing Hispanic-Owned Companies in the United States

Liberty Power, one of the fastest-growing retail electric providers in the United States, today announced that it now ranks 7th overall on the “2009 Hispanic Business 100 Fastest-Growing Companies(R)” list. Celebrating its 26th year, the list is compiled annually by Hispanic Business magazine and ranks, by 5-year sales growth, the 100 fastest-growing Hispanic-owned companies in the United States. The rankings were officially released in the July/August 2009 issue of Hispanic Business.

While the list ranks companies according to percentage of revenue growth, and does not consider the companies’ sizes, Liberty Power is the largest in terms of gross revenue among the top 50. Liberty Power is also the highest-ranked energy company among the four energy companies that made this year’s list.

As the competitive retail electric industry matures, Liberty Power continues to make solid financial strides, increasing revenues more than 1125% between 2004 and 2008. This level of growth has allowed the company to maintain its top 10 position this year after earning the title of the #1 “Fastest-Growing Company” in 2007 and being ranked fourth in 2008. This honor marks only the second time in the history of the “Hispanic Business 100 Fastest-Growing Companies” list that a company previously ranked #1 maintained a top 10 position for two subsequent years.
