HispanicBusiness 500 Ranks Pan-American Life No. 16 Largest Hispanic Business in the United States

Pan-American Life Insurance Company improved seven positions in the 27th annual ranking of the HispanicBusiness 500, advancing to number 16 on the list of the largest Hispanic businesses in the United States from number 23 in 2008. Hispanic Business Magazine once again ranked the New Orleans-based company as the top Hispanic company in the state of Louisiana.

Today, 64 percent of the company’s senior management team, and more than 70 percent of the overall company employees are Hispanic. Additionally, 75 percent of the company’s policyholders reside in Latin America or are of Hispanic origin.

In 2008, Pan-American Life grew its revenues by 11 percent to $400 million over the previous year. Total assets reached $2.1 billion and total capital $368 million.
