¡Fútbol Ya!, a photo-rich application covering soccer news from across Latin America and the world powered by one of the most trusted sources, Agence France-Presse (AFP), is now available for Hispanic media outlets as a customizable, branded mobile application.
¡Fútbol Ya! provides up-to-the-minute news from top soccer events, competitions and a daily-updated photo gallery featuring the most striking soccer images around. This complete Spanish-language soccer app promises to bring users always current, always illustrated news from the world of fútbol.
As a part of AFP’s mobile strategy to provide mobile solutions and content to news outlets, the application is available for complete client customization. Because of the flexibility of the smartphone platform provided by mobile software company PointAbout, media organizations can plug local feeds into the app, in addition to AFP feeds, to customize the look and branding. The news outlet or brand would then have their own Spanish language soccer application.
“The Hispanic market is a fast growing and a very engaged segment of mobile media consumers, and we understand Hispanic media outlets’ needs to reach this group. We also understand that soccer news is a really hot topic,” said Katie Juhl, Business Development Manager for AFP North America. “AFP has created ¡Fútbol Ya! so these media organizations can extend their brand and local content to a broader audience in a very affordable way.”

¡Fútbol Ya! is available now on the Apple iTunes app store. Soon, a version will be available for Android as well as other application storefronts.
