Carolina Herrera Kicks Off Spring Season Sporting the Ultimate Accessory: Her Very Own Milk Mustache

Tagged: ,

“Internationally recognized fashion designer and entrepreneur Carolina Herrera has teamed up with the Hispanic milk mustache/ got milk? campaign to communicate to Hispanic moms across the country that incorporating 3 glasses of low fat or fat free milk a day in their families’ diet can have a significant impact on their nutrition, health and overall state of wellness. As such, Carolina and her daughter, Carolina Jr., are showing off their milk mustaches in the latest Hispanic ad campaign, which debuted in print magazines nationwide in April.

“Being part of the Hispanic milk mustache campaign has been an honor for me because as a mother and a grandmother, there is nothing more important to me than instilling healthy habits in my family that enrich their well being. As an avid milk drinker myself, I feel compelled to educate Hispanic moms everywhere about the positive impact that drinking 3 glasses of low fat or fat free milk a day can have on their family’s diet and overall state of wellness,” Carolina said.

Milk: The Wellness Drink

Being nature’s wellness drink, milk is naturally nutrient rich like no other beverage. As got milk?’s latest celebrity advocate, Carolina hopes to educate Hispanic moms about the fact that low fat and fat free milk have exactly the same 9 essential nutrients as whole milk. For example, the calcium found in low fat and fat free milk can help build and maintain strong bones and teeth. Vitamin D helps your body better absorb calcium, potassium helps maintain normal blood pressure and the protein in milk, along with exercise, can help build muscle. Some studies even suggest that people who choose milk instead of sugary drinks tend to be leaner and have better quality diets. These are just some of the many reasons to make sure you and your family are getting the recommended 3 servings of low fat milk per day to achieve wellness.

As a mother, grandmother and a hard working professional in the fashion industry, her family’s health and wellness are particularly important to Carolina. “As a mom, I always made sure to instill good nutritional habits in my daughters’ lives, including teaching them about the importance of drinking 3 glasses of low fat milk a day. Today, they’re passing on the same lessons of wellness to their children and I couldn’t be any happier. My one piece of advice to Latina mothers would be to teach their kids and grandkids about the importance of drinking milk because as nature’s wellness drink, it provides us with 9 essential nutrients that we all need,” stated Carolina.
