In the dark times of economic crisis, the story of Almas, a peer mentoring group for Latinas, is a bright spot.

Featured on the national public series Biz Kid$, the group Almas is helping Latina girls find success by guiding them toward finishing their high school education and going on to college.

Biz Kid$ is a financial literacy series that features kids teaching other kids about money and business. Episodes feature topics like what a recession is, how to manage money, ways to find a good job and why credit ratings are important.

Biz Kid$ airs on over 500 stations across the country (check local listings), but you can see the Almas story below.
