Filmed in Mexico, this film takes a rare and often uncomfortable look into the heart of Mexico’s multi-billion dollar drug trafficking business.

Starring latin tv-mega star Mauricio Islas, and Jose Luis Franco (e.g., Historias y testigos, Amor descarado, and Vale todo) in the role of Cartel leader Angel Santana, Triumphant is committed to broadening the scope of Hispanic driven films. Synopsis
Tired of being scooped by all the other reporters, journalist Jules Land (Freddy Douglas) decides to seek out the leader of Mexico’s most notorious drug cartel, Angel Santana (Jose Luis Franco), for what he thinks will be the interview opportunity of a lifetime. After having arrived in Mexico and gained audience with Santana, Land is soon granted admittance to Santana’s inner circle by virtue of his wife’s familial ties. As Land is drawn further into the heart of El Cartel, he winds up becoming a pawn in the battle between good and evil, realizing all too late that opportunity can sometimes be a curse.
