In 2006, when the Mexican government relaxed its rules for tequila and allowed flavorings to be added, the floodgates opened. Citrus fruits, mango, coconut, strawberry, pomegranate, chili, coffee and chocolate started showing up, often aggressively and overpoweringly. But in a new line, Tanteo, the flavors are subtler.
