“Tampa will be hosting its first Salsa congress at the beautiful Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina in the heart of downtown. On March 26-29, 2009 Salsa lovers from Florida and elsewhere will converge to learn, watch performances, and dance Salsa.

With recent popularity of dancing competitions on television, Salsa’s popularity has skyrocketed. The Tampa Salsa Congress™ will have workshops, performances, DJ’s, and live music from the best in the business.

The combination of a world class hotel in Tampa’s downtown and the seduction of Salsa music, combine for a memorable entertainment event. In the Tampa area, there is a vibrant growing Salsa scene among the Hispanic population, with almost a dozen Latin nights among the various dance clubs every week.
