Cincinnati National Society of Hispanic MBAs Announces Professional Development Series Sponsored by Macy’s Cincinnati NSHMBA Welcomes Highest Ranked Latina at Macy’s Corporate to Speak at Luncheon

“The Cincinnati chapter of the has today announced its next event in its  Professional Development Series by welcoming Wilka Varela-Toppins, OVP, Diversity, Macy’s to speak at the November 6 luncheon sponsored by Macy’s.

Varela-Toppins is a top leader in the Hispanic community and the highest ranked Latina at Macy’s Corporate who will share the experiences that made her a successful executive for a major corporation.
Karen Hoguet, EVP, CFO will also speak at the luncheon.

In addition to the presentation, the event includes lunch and a professional networking opportunity for attendees.

“This event will give NSHMBA members and the community as a whole unique insight into the successes of one of Cincinnati’s most prominent executives,” Cincinnati NSHMBA president Gema Bahns said. “We are proud to celebrate Wilka’s career achievements through this event and to inspire others to achieve their own personal and professional goals.”

Registration for the event is required and can be completed online. Macy’s Corporate Office is a secure building and attendees must be registered, or they may not be admitted into the facility.

The NSHMBA Professional Development Series will be held Thursday, November 6 in the Board Room on the 21st floor of Macy’s Corporate Office, 7 West Seventh St. downtown. The event will be from 11:30am-1:30pm and will include lunch and refreshments. Business dress is preferred. The cost for the event is free to the public, but reservations are required and can be made online at cincinnati.nshmba.org/home.asp.
