Hispanic Heritage Month Events Begin Sept. 18 at Texas A&M University

“This year marks the sixth annual celebration of at , a month of celebrating the many contributions Hispanics have made to the university.

The first event will be the formal opening ceremony from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept.18, in the Memorial Student Center Flagroom, with a reception to follow in the J. Wayne Stark Galleries. Events will continue through Oct. 15.

All scheduled events can be found at dms.tamu.edu/hispanicmonth2008. Events during the month are sponsored by the Professional Hispanic Network, Hispanic Presidents’ Council, the Department of Multicultural Services, the Division of Student Affairs, the Office of the President, the Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Diversity, the College of Architecture and the Office of the Dean of Faculties.
