“ Network and WPLG Local 10 today announced an alliance to provide hurricane-related news to the Hispanic community of South Florida throughout the 2008 hurricane season, as well as coverage of Hurricane Ike’s passing through South Florida.

Channel 10’s (Local 10) Meteorology Center is one of the best in the United States. The center’s team of experts provides immediate forecasts of tropical storms and potential hurricanes as they take form in the Atlantic. Under the direction of Max Mayfield, the dean of meteorologists in our region, and with the support of Trent Aric, viewers in South Florida have always been able to count on the professionalism and coverage of Local 10’s news desk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Well-known meteorologists Max Mayfield and Trent Aric will offer up-to-the-minute information to viewers of ’s Channel 48 in Miami, Channel 34 in New York and Channel 24 in Puerto Rico, along with news from Noticias . Maite Luna and Arlena Amaro will provide instant coverage and detailed information about the development of Hurricane Ike and what steps to take as it makes landfall in Florida.
