“Claudio Guzman, who produced one of the nation’s first bilingual and bicultural Spanish-English educational programs for children, “Villa Alegre,” which premiered in 1973 on , has died. He was 80.

Guzman died Saturday of pneumonia at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after a long illness, said his wife, Micki Guzman”*
