A path that began in a tiny Colorado town and continued through Boulder, Harvard and some of the state’s highest legal positions may soon lead to a federal judgeship for Christine Arguello.
Arguello, chief legal counsel for the University of Colorado’s Boulder campus, was nominated Thursday by President George Bush to fill one of three judicial vacancies in the U.S. District Court in Denver. Arguello’s name was submitted to the White House by both of Colorado’s U.S. senators — Ken Salazar, a Democrat, and Wayne Allard, a Republican — and the Senate Judiciary Committee will now review and decide on the nomination.”*
