“Following the initial Mexican Revolution, in the following few years, Juárez fell multiple times. And in doing so, it made El Paso arguably the most famous city in the United States.

So to celebrate this, the El Paso Chamber of Commerce threw a dinner on May 30, 1911, for 20 or so war correspondents. The event had no official speaker, and was a rather quiet if somewhat humorous affair.”*
